nevermind it does't work with compact

u are a lifesaver

can this be clamped?

* there is some logic between the throttle lever and the chair axes, to convert the chair axis controls into on/off, to go into the throttle levers
EphainKartur 7 nov, 2024 @ 13:56
im using this for a turret im making (it works great after a little bit of tuning, i have it going from chair axis -> throttle lever -> this controller -> pivot), however, im thinking of cutting out the greater than, less than, and switchbox logic, as well as the throttle lever, and keeping the rotation continuous. but, im unsure what to do. does the controller allow continuous rotation? really, i need the controller to accept on/off inputs for positive /negative rotation, rather than a number, and the sensitivity for this motion to be tuneable.

@CRUSADER that's because lua can directly read properties without needing a connection
CRUSADER 7 maj, 2024 @ 0:25
Well, the rotation limit can't be turned off, went in to check, and it's not even connected to anything, 👍

Does this work for Compact Velocity Pivots and Turret Rings?
NickName 12 apr, 2024 @ 6:44
very very buggy. I want to use it for a turret but using this creates some force pushing my hull around
Nick Name 1 dec, 2023 @ 17:52
is there a way to make this work, but with small pivots and the phys sensor?

HI! I added an ability to invert rotation. If you add it to the original, I'll delete mine/

can you use this to make boosters guidable from pivots

Is their a way to make it stop moving at a certain point
limbo 17 apr, 2023 @ 14:13
i got a problem wher eit keeps going back to the defauld position when i move it

Very nice mic. thanks for sharing it

I came across a problem I can't switch the rotation limit off

btw i did the claping thingy

don't you dubble those awards
Lunatic Lacewing 29 jan, 2023 @ 5:02
great for turrets i gues

Thanks to this microcontroller I can make proper ship's wheels!

Thanks :)

Ive got an issue where the velocity pivot just keeps rotating if i hit the button so if i hit A it just keeps going left when i want it to stop after i let go
imgoodatrust 12 jul, 2022 @ 10:18
This is just amazing
WeeLite 8 jun, 2022 @ 12:02
Hey used ur mc in my manual turret, thank you :)

This is a great micro controller for turret airthight velocity pivots, I really like the idea
XHU 524 - OFSET 5 2 mar, 2022 @ 11:27
will this make it so it stops the infuriating swaying and lose/slippery feeling when turning ?
Jyochi 16 okt, 2021 @ 14:19
Is it possible for this to work with a compact velocity pivot? Since compact ones dont output its current rotation.
Inverspe 9 okt, 2021 @ 6:09
the velocity pivot will stop after holding it for 3 seconds
JakeCrad 16 sep, 2021 @ 9:27
This is exactly what ive been trying to do myself, only it works. im glad i found it. one question, can you build in a option that turns off the reset to zero as i am using it mostly as a clamp?
AcePainter 18 maj, 2021 @ 21:13
There is a bug where when you set two limits, the pivot will go start at the center of the two points on startup
Kronus 7 aug, 2020 @ 12:33
fantastic tool. The only thing i am not satisfied is that when powered up, instead of staying where it is until receiving an input, goes to find the mid point between the limits. Would need a button to reset it to its original position as it was during edition.

Thank you for the report, it's fixed now! :winter2019happyyul:

Hey man! Think I found a bug in the way the LUA is set up with handling this.

It seems like any time I set a speed limit the controller will allow the velocity pivot to move towards the maximum, however it refuses to move back towards the minimum.

I figured out the easy workaround for this seems to be just to set the Positive and Negative rotation times, leaving speed limit at 0/default and it still gives me the desired effect I need.

Seems to happen any time with the speed limit set, but heres my settings if you want to take a look.

Gear ratio/Rotation limit/Relative Mode/speed limit/PID multiplier: Default
Max degrees:120
Min Degrees:0
Relative input: 0 to 1
Positive rotation: 2
Negative rotation: 2

Very late response, but it's fine to use it however you want. Maybe just leave a link to this so more people are aware of this option. Same goes for anyone else ^.^
Mononobe no Futo 11 apr, 2020 @ 8:49
This just saved me hours of work, thank you so much!
Can I use this in a creation?(I would be giving you credit for this controller)
Olaroll  [skapare] 1 apr, 2020 @ 11:32
Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad this is of use to someone! :winter2019happyyul:

This is AMAZING! You saved my day, man. Thank you :)
