I've spent too many hours on this...

You ABSOLUTELY MUST get Repentogon [repentogon.com] to both improve performance , add extra features and make some of these mods work. Otherwise if you don't, some of them won't work at all!
It is easiest to do it the automatic way, but this collection includes the workshop version if you wanna use that. (You still need to do some stuff with that method for it to work. Use the provided link from before to understand what to do.)

This collection WILL have some incompatibility issues with some of the items subscribed! A above average PC is recommended to run this well! (Although might still lower your fps)
