I cannot overstate how pleased I am with this game. I was a kickstarter backer and it was worth the wait. The controls are solid, the levels are delightful, thematic, and most importantly fun in a way I haven't seen in a long time. It really felt like I was playing an old N64 Platformer just... improved.

The levels are easy enough to clear that you'll get through the game fine, but getting all 40 time pieces is a challenge, as well as the additional collectibles like the storybook pages in the time rift. 100%ing the game is challenging enough that more experienced gamers will enjoy getting through it, and some of the achievements can take an hour to complete on their own. (The Train stage achievement took me forever)

Definitely get this game if you enjoyed the old 3D platforming genre, and definitely get this game if you're uninitiated in the genre and want to see what the fuss is about.

My only complaints are that the game is so fun I was disappointed when it was over, but the opening of mod support has fixed some of that and the community is creating some really fun levels! Also the setting seems, intentionally vague. Which suits its cartoonish aesthetic but I really want to know more.

I definitely look forward to what Gears for Breakfast might bring in the future. 9/10

I grabbed this game on sale when it was 0.49 but even at 1.99 it's a pretty solid buy. It's a casual flash-like game, the sort you've probably played on Newgrounds or Kongregate. It takes about 2ish hours to complete and even 100% complete the achievements if you know what you're doing. But for about fifty cents that's a great value on entertainment.
