The first game of its series is simple and effective. Did need to google some things to get rolling. I tried playing without guides and I got pretty much to the end but got frustrated and needed to google and find an item.

I also hoped there would be more with the ending. Ultimately I feel I would have enjoyed this game more with better direction and had I used online guides. Exploring was vastly empty until you learn how/where to scavenge.

Alongside Dave the Diver this game feels as though it was made for the hand held. Besides the DLC book that can be distorted just out of visual acuity. Everthing is beautiful on the LCD or OLED models and is optimised for at least 60fps.

You have the rogue like side of the game where you traverse dungeons and boss fights for unlockables and story progression. Akin to The Binding of Isaac you defeat each boss a few times before being able to progress further.

Then your cult village. Where followers can become zealous, jealous and aggressive. Your followers can become ill or try to rise against you. Or you can use your followers for power and story progression.

Tips and tricks. Infinity power towers. Let followers power your towers and you can 1 shot anything in the game!
