Reminds me of Rise of Nations

all the feet and camel will legit make a solid road when they talk that same path for x years per move lmao

can you add caravans build rail roads in the industrial era?
Freeasabird🕊 4 Jun, 2017 @ 12:53am
Its a neat mod, i'll give it a like, but The caravans don't take advantage of the roads in any way. You'd think that a road to the destination would be more efficient turn wise, but Nope. they just go however which way and build chunks of road everywhere. hm :/

Amazing, Engineers somehow sold their road rights to merchants.. Gg

I got this mod for the Inverted World (Large and Huge) maps and a no maintaince mod to go with it for this TEST-DRIVE game, also featuring the Caravansary Trade Routes mod in a Domination only run-through .

ASTOUNDING !!

Even with 12 AIs, max CSs, Raging Barbs, Barbarians Unlimited EXP and Spawn Increase mods to 'liven things up'; just FINDING another Civ, which are ALL way the hell PAST yonder, has made your mod worth having !

guys, get a no road maintainance mod, lol. Free Expansion - No Maintainence is one of them
Gedemon  [author] 7 Oct, 2016 @ 9:56am
@Oscarnout : they've waited long enough before reviving it, it's good for the users of the mod, and I'm fine with it as long as they don't take credits for the works of all previous contributors. I'm just very sad that I didn't find the time to finish what I planned with my own overhaul of the mod this last two years.

@willvette : that's a good design idea, but too much coding required for me at this point.
Garder 7 Oct, 2016 @ 6:36am
@willvette thats a great idea because if you have long trade routes it cost alot of money
MidnightCoffee 6 Oct, 2016 @ 8:54pm
Make sure you're not in any steam betas
willvette 6 Oct, 2016 @ 12:54pm
sadly you still pay for road maintaince, but I have a moding sugestion: Caravans Builds Trails; Trail's don't cost maintance, only give a 50% increass to movment, and doesn't connect cities, but does reduce road building time on that tile.
Pokepug 6 Oct, 2016 @ 12:08pm
Yeah Yijuwarp, click on Gedemon's Workshop near the top of the page.
Yijuwarp 6 Oct, 2016 @ 7:31am
is there any way to look at other mods the creator has created?
Phat_Phuck 007 5 Oct, 2016 @ 6:41pm
for a fix to the road maintainence, get a reduced/no road maintainance mod.
Norton 5 Oct, 2016 @ 12:48pm
@supermegawaffle the TW retiree Well, there's a Cacus Beli which means you won't be hated as much.
SPC Dog 5 Oct, 2016 @ 12:44pm
@Spacecouch
What's Civ6 Warmongering like?
Maquabra 5 Oct, 2016 @ 6:27am
A good way to bankrupt you in early game :)
PexeraNeles 4 Oct, 2016 @ 9:35pm
Do we still pay for road maintenance?
Namul Niram 4 Oct, 2016 @ 5:43pm
So a minor bug, with the Caravans you're able to create roads even if you do not have The Wheel technology researched. However, it will not actually make a city connection until The Wheel is researched.
Reggin 4 Oct, 2016 @ 4:40pm
GOOD STUFF RIGHT HERE!
karenholmes1001 4 Oct, 2016 @ 10:59am
love this:steamhappy:
Space 3 Oct, 2016 @ 4:49pm
you should see if you can make a mod for the warmongering that civ 6 uses, civ 5 warmongering is so harsh.
Kasswuit 3 Oct, 2016 @ 4:28pm
hey gedemon, how do you feel on someone reviving your RED WW2 mod?
TPangolin 3 Oct, 2016 @ 8:41am
I love this idea for Civ V, but as mentioned before - is road maintenance altered at all? I can imagine being hard to break even with early caravans + maintenance.
Gedemon  [author] 2 Oct, 2016 @ 3:37pm
@Aldebaran: You'll be happy to see my latest uploads...
ALDEBARAN 1 Oct, 2016 @ 7:58pm
I'm glad to try this mod!
Btw, can you update your cultural diffusion mod or revolution mod?
FishRaposo 1 Oct, 2016 @ 4:03pm
must have
Mk Z 1 Oct, 2016 @ 2:22am
so does it mean roads to other civs and city states? and what about maintenance..
Mk Z 1 Oct, 2016 @ 2:20am
Dex, they said it about civ5 too. "most moddable ever" etc
BOY♂NEXT♂DOOR 30 Sep, 2016 @ 5:00pm
"if civ6 modding is at least as open as civ5 I will surely move to it"
They said that Civ VI would be much more mod-friendly and it will have a custom engine for better performance
Dray 30 Sep, 2016 @ 3:09pm
@flygongengar he's trolling
DrakenX999 30 Sep, 2016 @ 10:45am
@philipp-87
No he didn't, they've never given specifics about moddability in any preview for Civ VI.
philipp-87 30 Sep, 2016 @ 10:33am
I am sorry, but in one of the early previews, Ed Beach said that custom 3D model support in mods is out of question due to "fear for DLC sales" :steamsad:
