描述
The Lord of New Shorehaven has called for aid from anyone who will risk their lives for riches and renown. An abandoned island housing the remains of his ancestral castle appears to be occupied by an unknown guest. As war approaches, all threats must be dealt with.

Details: This is a full campaign with a balance of storytelling and encounters throughout.

Duration: Should last roughly 30 hours on average. A lot of content is optional.

Levels: Starts at level 1 or 2 and ends at 11 or 12 max level. You will easily reach level 12 if you are thorough in exploration.

Difficulty: The difficulty is intended to be moderate (on authentic). Anyone looking for a seasoned challenge should try Scavenger difficulty or higher.

Suggestions: A balanced party is likely best but nothing is necessary. At least one class capable of area of effect spells would be highly recommended but there are wands and magic artifacts on vendors and in exploration to help with this as well.

Special Considerations:
-A wand of identify is available on vendors and one found in exploration.
-Crafting is fully implemented but isn't necessary
-There are numerous custom weapons
-There are several side quests

Known Bugs:
*If you are playing multiplayer, if the ending lore on leaving the final area does not properly transition you to allow for exporting characters, try saying 'No' on the prompt. If that doesn't work, going through on single player, saving, then loading up back in multiplayer will work. Its a base game bug for any exit that has lore text attached.*

*If you still have an old subscription to 'The Forsaken Isle' that does not have the two hyphens, one on each side, please unsubscribe and sub to this new one. That is an old version that was necessary to be put to rest due to a nasty bug. You can unsub from the list of your subscribed items on the workshop.*

There is now a 'soft' sequel to The Forsaken Isle called Morrows Deep. Details and download here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2914649745

And yet another follow up to both The Forsaken Isle and Morrows Deep. The Red Crow is here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3074665840

There is now a six man party version of this campaign: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2942835978

Thanks Brightsoul. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback. I did make an effort to try to keep gold relevant through most of my campaigns. Makes each find a little more meaningful imo.

Great adventure with solid 20+ hours! Very well balanced encounters and variety.

Just finished playing through on Scavenger with my favored party comp and was definitely challenged by a couple encounters which is good! This ended up being one of my favorites ever, and really only Silverquick's stuff is on par with Artyoan.

For anyone considering playing this: The gear progression for suits of armor in early game is slow. In most player created content, you don't want to buy plate mail because you'll just find it right after you buy it. But my only spoiler-ish hint is: It's worth lugging all the suits of chain mail back and selling them at the vendor with best re-sale. You'll need to buy or craft good armor and weapons for your tank and melee DPS in order to keep up on Scavenger difficulty. But that is a good thing also! It means making thoughtful choices about gear and not having 30k useless gold at the end. Great adventure.

Thanks Out. Glad you gave it multiple tries. The lightning bolts can be cheap with going through walls but there are some ways to counter or minimize it luckily.

I imagine playing on Iron Man had some intense moments here and there. I'm a strong proponent of Solasta's cover system as I think it makes a battlefield come alive. Archers tend to be intimidating as a result.

Thanks for the feedback, very much appreciate hearing it. Morrows Deep and The Red Crow are both similarly built. I usually advise people to press on until they need to long rest but the option to long rest is almost always available so people can play it how they please. :steamthumbsup:

The story was great, although Solasta is not designed with RP in mind, I really appreciate how well you designed all this to fit with the overall lore found in the main campaign.

I dare say that if someone said this campaign was an official one, most would not be able to tell the difference.

Now I'm about to go ahead and create my new characters for the soft sequel, lol!

Hi again, Artyoan.
Way back in the comments, I said this campaign was not for me because I died to the Goblin Shaman lightning bolt's early in the sewers.

This time I managed to finish it - after several failed attempts - and boy, what a great campaign. It was difficult, but mainly because I played the game through a very strict clause:
1. roll for stats (reroll once, but accept the stats) and accept them in the order they come (1st is STR,2nd DEX, and so on);
2. random race based on a 5E resurrection table;
3. 2-3 short rests at maximum, and 1 long rest per day;
4. Iron Man mode (although I set to only game over if all 4 die);

Absolutely astounding map design, specially for the combats, I love how there are so many strategies to be used and some are even hinted at (i.e, hiding behind the tombs to avoid those high damaging Skeleton Archers at the last battle ).

There is one locked door in the tavern that requires a check or a knock spell. The one behind the barkeep is just for show. :steamthumbsup:

nevermind, just found it in a natural way, but really got lost for some time looking for it inside the manor so i guess i'll soon find out about the locked room at the tavern. again great work on making the campaign. also the goblin caster was a cool fight, didn't spot him at first so again, 28 lightning damage took my poor warlock by surprise
Artyoan  [作者] 4 月 15 日 下午 2:09
@anemoi, that quest you will likely find in general exploration eventually but for a small clue I'll say that access to the key can't be obtained until a different access path to the manor is found. You'll likely find this path along the main quest line too.

Thanks for playing it. I think this campaign still holds up well and the soft sequels get progressively more involved with official material added into Solasta.

off to a great start, didn't play the required dlc campaigns, bought them just to play this one. off to a great start by now, minotaur fight took me by surprise but was really exciting nonetheless. any help with "Locked away" quest though? I felt like i've scrolled through the whole manor but don't seem to find the storage key anywhere, is there a stat requirement to find it?
Artyoan  [作者] 4 月 2 日 下午 2:19
@Smiledozer, that's a limitation of the engine and is a problem in all of Solasta. Walls won't stop aoe cone/aimed attacks. Only upside is that you can exploit the same limitation with your spells.
