Deskripsi
The Roaming Boar Tavern has burned to the ground. Your party was there. Drunk. The cause of the fire eludes you. Perhaps the fault was yours. Perhaps it wasn't. But to escape the confines of a jail cell, you are enlisted to serve during a time of war between the Snow Alliance and Gallivan.

*Please report any bugs you find and make several hard saves as you go.*

Details: This is a full campaign and is a sequel to The Forsaken Isle and Morrows Deep, with a new party starting at level 1. I strongly recommend having played both of the prior campaigns before playing this one as the spoilers are very heavy, especially for Morrows Deep. If you don't care about the story elements then have at it.

More details:
With the release of Palace of Ice I wanted to use the new capabilities it provided.
-The world map is implemented
-All new locations are used
-Companions come and go, sometimes with the option to take them. Not taking them will make the difficulty considerably harder in the areas they are available. Companions that stay for multiple battles are capable of being killed permanently.

Duration: 40+ hours if all content is done. (If you are playing on harder difficulties, this may take considerably longer)

Levels: Starts at level 1 and ends at level 16.

Difficulty: The difficulty is intended to be moderate (on authentic). Anyone looking for a seasoned challenge should try Scavenger difficulty or higher.

Suggestions: A balanced party is likely best but nothing is necessary. At least one good single target ranged damage dealer is strongly encouraged as a lot of new enemies are capable of flight.

Special Considerations:
-Unlike my prior campaigns, there are a few instances where multiple battles are required with no long rest. These don't come til the second half of the campaign.
-A wand of identify is available on vendors and one found in exploration.
-Crafting is fully implemented and highly encouraged, though not necessary.
-There are 65 custom weapons
-There are several side quests
-Charisma skills like persuasion, intimidation, and deception are used throughout the campaign
-Some classes and most character backgrounds have some special dialogue and content
-Save often, especially prior to entering a full party teleporter

Other:
-There is a six man version of this now available here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3106185904

Mod.io version: https://mod.io/g/solasta/m/the-red-crow

Special thanks to Earendil for early testing!

Enjoy

Thank you! Somehow missed that that table was interactable.

@atz0rn, there is a table near the ominous locked door on the west side of the catacombs that you need to interact with. Once you've done that, you'll have received a research book that needs to be return to Penelo out in the encampment. She will provide the key to two of those doors.

I really enjoyed Morrows Deep and Forsaken Isle. Unfortunately I am hard stuck on one of the first quests here. I must have missed something obvious. My current quest is to find a ceremonial sword but I cant find a way to unlock any of the 3 locked doors in the Red Crow Catacombs and I didnt find anything but a dog in the Crystal Cave either. I took that dog everywhere in the starting area I have access to and now I am out of ideas.

@Ortin, you can buy it from a vendor in Valenskald. The one with all the rare crafting materials.

where do you get the dryad queen bark?

If the dungeon maker were capable of customizing arrows I would have had a lot of them.

Thanks for the reply. I would prefer that there was a more powerful monster (lore relevant) - rather than, say, an artificially overpowered arrow (which the players can't get access to...it would be fine if they dropped some of the 'super' arrows, but they don't so it seems like a tad unfair). But since it is not a bug, I'll live with it.

Sounds about right. The damage values are meant to provide some lethality to units, especially ranged, so as to emphasize using the cover system, which I think is one of Solasta's best features.

If you're finding the damage to be uncomfortably high you can always lessen it in custom settings. Even on authentic it is meant to be 'moderate' difficulty, and by that I mean a veteran crpg player can expect to get pushed around every now and then.

Most units have one part physical and one part elemental or some other source. Which allows for lessening damage via resistances but not rendering it useless most of the time.

Possible enemy damage bug?

I have encountered goblins with arrows that 2d6 + 2d6 (8?) of some additional type (in jungle). These are regular hits, not crits. I also noticed that my Orc companion in the jungle does 2d12 + 6 (!!!) with his great-axe. Again, a regular hit. That seems wrong? Then there are the risen archers (in my view the most overpowered ranged attackers in the series): each regular arrow - they can fire 2 with a high to hit bonus - does 2d8 + 2d8 necrotic - again, it looks like damage is being doubled up. I can get through the encounters, but it really looks like there is some doubling up happening somewhere and if not these attack values are simply unreasonable - I'm enjoying every other aspect of the modules.

Thanks Kiano. Glad to hear you enjoyed them. ;)

For now I'm not working on any new campaigns. I may finish the series up with a small campaign later this year but not certain on the time.
