All about Onslaught mode
By FIRUIN
Outbreak is a special zombie mode of Black Ops Cold War, which takes place on familiar maps from the multiplayer of the same game.

It differs from the usual zombie mode (Round Based Map) by the presence of many familiar elements, but with the appearance of new ones.

What is the mode about?
  • Additional zombie mode that was a one-year exclusive for Playstation players
  • On November 2, 2021, became available to all players on other platforms
  • From January 6, 2023, all additional modes became available to all players on all platforms

A maximum of two people can be in a team. The task is to destroy zombies to fill the scale of the aetheric orb. The aether orb creates a safe zone around itself, outside of which the player will take constant damage. As soon as it reaches 100, the orb will move to a random location on the map to repeat the procedure, and the progress of the waves will increase by 1.

Every third wave, the orb will summon an enhanced Special or Elite unit, which drops random weapons, but is guaranteed to drop a «Random Perk».

Among the regular enemies, there are only regular zombies (without both types of armored ones) and plague dogs. Among the bosses of the wave are Mimic, Mangler, and Megaton.

The further you progress, the fewer points you get for killing zombies.

The usual elements of the zombie mode, such as "economy", «Pack-a-Punch», crafting table, etc. are absent. Players will have to use enemy drops.

In this mode, armor of different rarity (purple and orange), which automatically increases its level, as well as chalices, the use of which gives the corresponding Pack-a-Punch power, appeared for the first time.
