nah, its working again. the breaking had to do with the branch merge, reintroducing bugs that still were in stable

Looks like it is the range on the welders. I had to add one more row in teh rear, and one row left and right of the welder bank. Then it works like a charm. Also make sure its the same owner, and that they get added to group W. Also, it kind of messes up the roof look.

this looks awsome definately trying it out, dont ships with conector lock count as part of ship if you where still trying to find a way of doign it without grinders maybe have it on a wheeled/tracked carriage with connector that released lock at end or something?

the grinder is on the floor of that hangar and the piston basically pushed the connection block of the ship onto the grinder when retracting

Hey Bruce, this looks sick. I'm trying to add a build feature to my carrier to produce fighters/dropships. I've been using a nano build/repair mod for the welding, and can't seem to get it to produce a ship that isn't physically connected to the carrier.

How did you do it where the gunship isn't connected to the factory? I've tried using merge blocks to be the connection, but that doesn't seem to take. I've seen others do that way with kinetic torpedoes (to reload the launch rack) but it doesn't seem to work in this case.
