May be a save issue (e.g., reloading a save several times after Burns spawns). I haven't been able to reproduce just yet, but try it with a straight play-through.

I've actually seen this once. It's super rare and I haven't the faintest idea what causes it. It's probably not worth trying to fix it because restarting the mission fixes it. Not a problem because these missions are fantastic.

You may have a funky save situation there. You might need to start again from an earlier save (sorry!)

Wait, he's not suppose to run down the cliff side back into the base? I've been seeing him trying to run back to the base from the cliff side and enemy units would by the bottom of that path ready to kill him or he would run into them. Well, just 7 hours ago before I went to sleep, I went all out and set up gun towers in spots where E.units would come in and I held all of them back and watch him make it back to base but as soon as he entered the base, he disappear then mission failed. I know he didn't get killed because no "poof" effect show up, and there was no enemies in/or at the entrance. As for my APC, I would have one already sitting up there with a turret and he just runs away from it.

Its not an easy mission, to be clear! Burns is usually clever enough not to move from his landing/hiding spot until your rescue APC arrives, however, Braddock's teams are sure to try to hunt down any stragglers near his former base. Since APCs are so slow, I try to send a few tanks or turrets to guard the cliff side (and/or guard him myself) as soon as he lands to distract any tanks that might be on the hunt.

I, for one, cannot beat the very first mission. I have try so many times but keep failing because "burns" keeps getting killed. I even had two APC nearby to where he will land and as soon as I see him land, I'll send the APC's to him. Nothing happens, he keeps running right into enemy tanks then "SPLAT"
I even timed it just right so when the cut scene gets done showing the base being wiped out, my Day Wrecker will blow up all enemy units, then two other enemy tanks shows up out of nowhere then that's when he goes "poof", because he runs to them even tho the APC is right beside him. I'm lost here. Btw, this map is new to me, and I am returning back to this game since the N64 days.

Just popped by as this mod entered my mind, i understand what you mean with modding taking a lot of time, enthusiasm and energy to create after awhile, this is a really great mod and i look forward to seeing its completion one day, just something to look forward to, thank you!

I'm glad everyone's having still having fun! I do hope to get part III out someday, but in all honesty career (and life!) have kept me very busy lately... (especially for me in this here somewhat inconvenient pandemic). A few years back the great became the enemy of the good as far as actually getting part III done in some ways (Scope creep! I got big eyes! I got too ambitious!)- that, and my motivation/attention well ran dry, if I'm being honest (and BZCC came along and stole some of my attention too!). But that doesn't mean I've given up on part III!

To all those struggling with the third explosive location... is there no OTHER plateau that you CAN get to that would you allow to jump to the target location (with a running start)? I would indeed suggest piloting the tug yourself... ;) Problem solve! Use ramps where you can and those jumping skills to make it the rest of the way!

One of these day's I'll take a week off and try to get most of part III knocked out. One of these days!

You dont have to do this but I would recommend it. Make this a costom campaign. Nightmere 1 with bd, nightmere 2 with bd, nightmare 3 with bd, get the relic bd, burns rebellion 1, burns rebellion 2, and when it's done burns rebellion 3. Make this and it will easily be the best mod on BZR. I would also like to point out that on BR1 when I win the APC dissapears and it says I was killed. This might be because I prefer to drive the APC myself.

how do i get to the 3rd charge position, its on top of a mountain with no path up to it, ive tried sending it, and even taking direct control, but cant get anywhere close:

Well this was a fun map but unable to finish
I managed to destroy everything. only to find that tanks etc were spawning all the time from the top right of the map with no factory present ???
I put a force next to the entrance and towers etc to keep them at bay
I then sent the 3 tugs + explosives to each of the locations, only to find its impossible to get the tug to deploy on the 3rd one unless you can make the tug fly, there is no ramp to allow it to get to the geiser so you cant complete this task

When Part 3 will come to release ? Will it be still map for Bz 98 or for Bz 2 CC. It would nice to play as Scions during their attack at ISDF base at Pluto before main Bz 2 campaign starts.

Bug: In mission 2 I land in my tank on it's backside therefore I can't eject the tank nor do anything else for that matter.

In mission1 I spawned apparently inside a building and was stuck in mid air hit box wise. But I managed eject and enter one of my ai tanks.

I have a bug to report. On mission 1, the game fails you if you pilot the APC carrying Burns yourself. (I do this because the AI APC's are slow and can't evade for dick). You're reported being "killed in action."

Even though, this is a reeeeally great mods for BZ2 Fans that are waiting a BZ2 Redux (like me :steamhappy:) it happens to have BZ2 Weapons with BZ2 skins-like for each ship.

Thanks for all the amazing work, but still, i hope that BZ2 will get a Redux edition because the BZ98 AI and scrapmetal scavenging style are litterally the worse compared to the BZ2 ones ^^

Mmmmh, there is a bug, i don't know how it is happening.
It's in the Part I when you destroy the CCA Recycler and the CCA Factory there is a cinematic that launches. And it is there that the bug happens.

First :It might be because the cinematic have been skiped too fast, so maybe the ennemy ships don't spawn in front of Burns' Base and it is not destroyed, it still asks to take up Burns with an APC, you can do it, but the objectives will get stucks and you won't be able to continue the mission.

Second :It might be because you have died first because you didn't take Burns in time, and then you realize that it would be smart to construct Gun Towers in front of Burns' Base, where the ennemies spawn, to destroy them when they spawn in the cinematic (i accompagned Gun Towers with simple Turrets)

It's either one of these that causes a bug where you cannot continue the mission, and the objective says that you have to get an APC to Burns even when Burns has already been took up by one.

Got this working, amazing stuff, Scrappool. Played the first map, love the "scion" voices, and the work on the custom skins. The mission has some real meat too, love all of the scripting. I hope you can get voiceovers in there instead of text someday.

Great missions! Can't wait for part III! Any estimate when it might be done? Will we see more of the evolution from PEX/Black Dog units to the BZII Scion units?
