Congratulations, Lieutenant, you've been selected for participation in Project Pedigree!

Live a story only hinted at in the Battlezone II campaigns and manual! As the Bio-Metal Wars raged on, a rising star of the NSDF, Dr. Armond Braddock, was tasked with developing a weapon to bring the conflict to an end. Under his direction, Project Pedigree focused on fusing the Bio-Metal into the very flesh of the NSDF's best- members of the Black Dog Squadron. This is a story of the super-soldiers that resulted.

  • 11 weapons new to BZR:
  • ARC Lance – Successor to the Bolt Buddy and progenitor to the Scion ARC Cannon, this low rate of fire cannon unleashes a slew of lightning bolts at your enemy.
  • Plasma Bolt – Concentrated superheated plasma does wonders to an enemy craft.
  • Ion Flechette – A prototype to the Scion Ion Gun, this cannon has much in common with its BZ2 cousin.
  • Spine Cannon – An early prototype that would later become the Scion Fang and Quill, this weapon fires a spread of high-velocity Bio-Metal spines that pierce enemy craft.
  • Flash Gun– A lighter, more ammo efficient version of the original flash. Great for slicing away at enemies.
  • Acid Mortar – Personally developed by Braddock himself, this mortar sprays corrosive acid when deployed. Best to steer clear of the cloud!
  • Plasmathrower – Developed alongside the Plasma Bolt, this mortar weapon launches a stream of superheated anti-Bio-Metal plasma in an arc. It is extremely destructive at close range, especially against stationary or slow moving targets.
  • Stinger Battery – Like many P-EX weapons, the Singer Battery is heavily based on Chthonian tech. This weapon fires a swarm of homing missiles at an enemy craft.
  • FAF Missile – A low power, low ammo requirement homing missile that automatically locks on to the nearest heat source.
  • Seeker Mine – This mine doesn't wait for you to come to it, it deploys a modified WASP Seeker that hunts down and detonates on craft that stray too near.
  • Vaulter Device – A short lived mine that unleashes a high-powered pulse of magnetic energy. This pulse sends all nearby ships in motion. While it is most commonly used as a “superjump” to scale steep terrain quickly or escape enemy fire, it can also be used in a pinch to deflect incoming ordinance or disrupt enemy battlefield formations.

2. Launch BZR, go into "Single Player"
3. Select "Custom Campaigns"
4. Select "Battlezone: Burns' Rebellion"
5. Launch!

Fair Warning:
These maps can be relatively long and difficult for some! Settle in for something of a challenge and save often!

I've actually seen this once. It's super rare and I haven't the faintest idea what causes it. It's probably not worth trying to fix it because restarting the mission fixes it. Not a problem because these missions are fantastic.

You may have a funky save situation there. You might need to start again from an earlier save (sorry!)

Wait, he's not suppose to run down the cliff side back into the base? I've been seeing him trying to run back to the base from the cliff side and enemy units would by the bottom of that path ready to kill him or he would run into them. Well, just 7 hours ago before I went to sleep, I went all out and set up gun towers in spots where E.units would come in and I held all of them back and watch him make it back to base but as soon as he entered the base, he disappear then mission failed. I know he didn't get killed because no "poof" effect show up, and there was no enemies in/or at the entrance. As for my APC, I would have one already sitting up there with a turret and he just runs away from it.

Its not an easy mission, to be clear! Burns is usually clever enough not to move from his landing/hiding spot until your rescue APC arrives, however, Braddock's teams are sure to try to hunt down any stragglers near his former base. Since APCs are so slow, I try to send a few tanks or turrets to guard the cliff side (and/or guard him myself) as soon as he lands to distract any tanks that might be on the hunt.

I, for one, cannot beat the very first mission. I have try so many times but keep failing because "burns" keeps getting killed. I even had two APC nearby to where he will land and as soon as I see him land, I'll send the APC's to him. Nothing happens, he keeps running right into enemy tanks then "SPLAT"
I even timed it just right so when the cut scene gets done showing the base being wiped out, my Day Wrecker will blow up all enemy units, then two other enemy tanks shows up out of nowhere then that's when he goes "poof", because he runs to them even tho the APC is right beside him. I'm lost here. Btw, this map is new to me, and I am returning back to this game since the N64 days.

Ive subscribed and restarted the game but the mission doesn't appear in the IA missions any help please ?
