That mod seems to get rid of LODs, this mod is to relax the LOD.

hey, amazing mod thanks you !!! Dont know what you do and why the based game is bugged like that bug thanks you you top part of eternal guard helm stop dispareaing at "medium" distance with this mod (https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3046340594)
DOnt know why it still dispear at "long" distance , but its far better than without your mod,thanks :)

Hey can i ask how this mod works in detail? Are the LODs generated manually with the vanilla skins, so the modded skins are unaffected or will the modded skins get replaced by your LOD fix after LOD1 triggers?

I doubt this has any models in it but rather alters the distance from the player that the game displays the different levels of detail models. So I'd say problems like you're seeing are down to the reskin you're using or CA.

I noticed that Tehenhauin's saurus warriors' LOD is Green. But when you get closer it switches back to blue saurus warriors.

movie mods only auto-run when installed in the data folder of the game, this mod is not located there so you have to enable it in that launcher

Yes the mod does work. I just tested it. Without it the beastmen Minotaurs are missing textures and are see through with just Hooveric reskin enabled.

@rage freeman im assuming LOD mod will not work with most other reskins as there are other LOD mods which require Submods for each reskin

I think i have a graphical glitch with the Stirlands Revenge, when i put my mouse on them (or hide the UI their "neck armor" let say, disappear. And the Bordermen Unit have a bug they hold their grenade launcher un both hands but somtime they hold their sword at the same time and then go back to holding the grenade launcher .

Unfortunately, this joy did not last long... at least for me. After hotfix 2.1.1 your mod stopped working. I understand that CA wants/needs to move the game forward but it's still always annoying when that means more harm than good. Subjectively speaking, of course. I really hope CA finally addresses this LOD issue and modders don't have to do their job anymore.

sure you just need to make the mod into a normal packfile and upload it. after that, switch to movie and update.

Hey Hooveric, I did not know you could actually upload movie files to the workshop, but I guess you just have to trick the system a bit. So this is Very nice. I did check your file and as far as I know the LOD changes is tied to the unit detail option. So if I am not mistaken, this mod only changes the LOD for the Ultra unit detail setting it seems.

Is it ok if I upload a mod similar to this, just that I change some other things like the Tree LOD and perhaps some building LODs. Just asking since you where the first to upload a mod like this.

@Zanatos It should be fully compatible, in fact I would recommend using a mod like this to fix many problems that I try to fix because of the poor LOD distance range in the game.

they are compatible, but they don't have to be used together. subscribe only to whichever you think is more appropriate.

FPS impact will depend on GPU load, for me its about a 5fps dif using this mod at 1440p, but my gps is quite heavy loaded at 1440p and 1080p is not really noticeable(same setting)
So impact will depend on GPU load if you GPU is bottlenecked.

I can def see the dif in visuals close up though. nice work

I ask because another mod from TW2, The Ariel Reskin, had a movie pack that could be added and then removed. I didn't know if was the same here.

no, it should be enabled in the mod manager. it's a movie pack in your workshop directory, but it won't work when disabled.

Vfx also now work without movie packs but possible that lod still require one.
