Any possibility of a patch for compatibility with bionics mods such as RBSE?

Weapon: Cactaceae Minigun

Description: The best way to explain this gun is a cactus with revolving barrels of cactus needles firing out all manned by a very angry-looking green person with sticks coming out of them.

@Harry_Robinson1

CE has a tutorial of how to do it, but since I'm no modder I'm not sure how easy or hard it is. Still, I think only the weapons need to be patched since the race itself can work with one of the races auto-patchers for CE I think.
lilairen 19 Haz 2019 @ 16:14
BTW stuff like how to racelock researches and all is documented in the HAR wiki, so you can dig there and compare to other mods to get what you need: https://github.com/RimWorld-CCL-Reborn/AlienRaces/wiki
lilairen 19 Haz 2019 @ 13:47
There's a feature in HAR framework that should help with medical mod compatibilities. If you add

<humanRecipeImport>true</humanRecipeImport>

inside the generalsettings tag then it shoudl have basic surgeries/EPOE compat. I don't think the cactoids have any weird body parts so that should sort it.

Trying to dig out where in the mod folder the file you need to tweak is... It's in ThingDefs_Races, Race_Cactoid.xml

Doing that should also fix the thing I was going to ask you about. :)
Harry_Robinson1  [yaratıcı] 19 Haz 2019 @ 8:09
@Vektor T I honestly don't know how.
sorenelexion 18 Haz 2019 @ 23:05
Been waiting for this to come back since..... Was it .17? It's been a while. WOO, CACTUS!
Vektor T 18 Haz 2019 @ 19:27
Ok, so I will be that guy that every mod has one...

Can you make a CE patch? I was going to use the auto-patcher but since you add weapons too it wont be enough.
Harry_Robinson1  [yaratıcı] 17 Haz 2019 @ 5:18
@valterseljacina Maybe, but I don't know how.
@Ender Free I don't think so,
Red1 16 Haz 2019 @ 16:07
@Harry_Robinson1 that sounds like a wonderful solution, best of both worlds!
Ender Free 16 Haz 2019 @ 8:23
Does mele attacker take damage?
Lord FishFart 16 Haz 2019 @ 2:51
can u make em compatible whit EPOE ?
Harry_Robinson1  [yaratıcı] 12 Haz 2019 @ 13:28
I'm sure I can add some more.
Harry_Robinson1  [yaratıcı] 12 Haz 2019 @ 8:45
@Jr. Troopa Good to know, if his mod can do it I'm sure I can reverse engineer that to make that work. If I can't, I'll probably ask him for help.
Jr. Troopa 12 Haz 2019 @ 8:31
" I might see if there's a way of making special research projects that only a Cactoid researcher can do."

Should be possible, Android Tiers has researches only T5 androids can research, maybe reach out to the author for help?
Harry_Robinson1  [yaratıcı] 12 Haz 2019 @ 4:58
@the1sean

Sadly, no. It confused me too. You will still see Cactoid items on raiders and NPCs, you will see Golden Agave and Decorative Cactuses in growing zone selction menus, and you can place orders to craft Cactoid weapons, but only Cactoid colonists can do these jobs. Any Cactoid weapons are fully usable by anyone once crafted.

This is bad design in my opinion, I'm going to change the way this works so that all of the Cactoid stuff is research based, you start with it if you play Cactoids, and you have to research it to unlock it otherwise. I might see if there's a way of making special research projects that only a Cactoid researcher can do.
Red1 11 Haz 2019 @ 19:59
So if I am not playing Cactoids I won't see the items added by the mod right?
Harry_Robinson1  [yaratıcı] 9 Haz 2019 @ 6:03
Whoa! I'm in the most popular section!

@사울 @Tarsis

You're welcome. As I said, it was a simple fix as aside from the some minor tweaks the Beta 19 mod would've worked, but it's definitely more convenient when the mod just works perfectly. I'm thinking of working on fixing some of the old bugs that the mod had back in Beta 18 and 17.
Saul 6 Haz 2019 @ 19:20
good
Tarsis 6 Haz 2019 @ 17:49
Thank you!!
Harry_Robinson1  [yaratıcı] 6 Haz 2019 @ 10:37
This was a very simple update, just a version number change and some slight XML tweaks. The main purpose of this update is so Rimworld understands that the mod is compatible. I'll try to keep this updated, and I have a couple of plans and changes I might implement, but for now this is just an update.
