Hope this helps anyone!
Description: The best way to explain this gun is a cactus with revolving barrels of cactus needles firing out all manned by a very angry-looking green person with sticks coming out of them.
CE has a tutorial of how to do it, but since I'm no modder I'm not sure how easy or hard it is. Still, I think only the weapons need to be patched since the race itself can work with one of the races auto-patchers for CE I think.
<humanRecipeImport>true</humanRecipeImport>
inside the generalsettings tag then it shoudl have basic surgeries/EPOE compat. I don't think the cactoids have any weird body parts so that should sort it.
Trying to dig out where in the mod folder the file you need to tweak is... It's in ThingDefs_Races, Race_Cactoid.xml
Doing that should also fix the thing I was going to ask you about. :)
Can you make a CE patch? I was going to use the auto-patcher but since you add weapons too it wont be enough.
@Ender Free I don't think so,
Should be possible, Android Tiers has researches only T5 androids can research, maybe reach out to the author for help?
Sadly, no. It confused me too. You will still see Cactoid items on raiders and NPCs, you will see Golden Agave and Decorative Cactuses in growing zone selction menus, and you can place orders to craft Cactoid weapons, but only Cactoid colonists can do these jobs. Any Cactoid weapons are fully usable by anyone once crafted.
This is bad design in my opinion, I'm going to change the way this works so that all of the Cactoid stuff is research based, you start with it if you play Cactoids, and you have to research it to unlock it otherwise. I might see if there's a way of making special research projects that only a Cactoid researcher can do.
You're welcome. As I said, it was a simple fix as aside from the some minor tweaks the Beta 19 mod would've worked, but it's definitely more convenient when the mod just works perfectly. I'm thinking of working on fixing some of the old bugs that the mod had back in Beta 18 and 17.
