Easy fix for all the complaints about Brother's Keeper. Don't bond your scouts or "lone" soldiers that are proficient in concealment like the Reapers.

This is quite good idea actually.
As for adjacency
Change EAR_AnyAdjacency to EAR_RequireAdjacency
Or even make it a config. default.BondmateSpotter_Crit_EAR
Recompile scripts.

Is it possible to disable the Brother's keeper for specific classes, espeically scouts? Breaking concealment is really not worth the extra shot. It also doesn't make sense that a sword wielder like my Shinobi is able to attack at range with a sword swipe.

@Jace the Ace I have an idea for the action, Brother's Keeper. The reason I am making this suggestion is that reapers are often far from their own lines and out of sight of their own forces so it does not make sense for a reaper to retaliate for an attack that is not even seen. This is especially true when the reaper can see many enemy units. My suggestion (I do not know how easy this would be to implement since I am not a programmer.) is to make Brother's Keeper check if the attacked bondmate is in visual range.

Brothers keeper procs and melee across the map without even moving. I am guessing it doesn't check if the attack is valid or not. To be fair i don't think it even rolls for an attack. But anyway melee from distance...

An option to let Reapers forgo the bond-mate reaction shot would be really awesome! Its really screwed my Reaper so many times, maybe just make it a sting shot? possibly too op.

Should add an option to disable Brother's Keeper for Reapers. The ability breaks Shadow ... also, disable the ability from triggering on Alien Rulers. Causes- issues ... big ones.

A soldier will return fire with Brother's Keeper even if concealed. Is that supposed to happen?

@Jace the Ace: Would it be possible to implement a 'field rations' system with your mod? This would be some way to restore some will loss in combat. Buy the ability through the GTS, and all your soldiers get two uses of field rations, and it requires to actions to use. It is only half as effective on units that went into battle tired or lightly wounded. Restores 20 will, improved ones restore 30.

Other folks' mods simply remove fatigue altogether, but this is something that I feel a bit more immersive and fun, to allow you to bring your MVP units.

Hmm. There wouldn't happen to be a way to make it so that concealed or shadowed soldiers don't take the Brother's Keeper free shot, would there? At least, I'm assuming they will, which might be a problem for shadow reaper builds.

This mod just killed my soldier in the most hilarious way possible. I run A Better Advent which add Berserker Prime. Everytime a Prime got hit, it's granted an action which usually is used to smash the nearest xcom. Brother's Keepers kept triggering and my guy got plummeted to dead in the same turn.

@Lancelot, it looks to be just an update to the 3 existing bond levels. No 4th bond level was created as far as I know.

Every time a pair of your soldiers reaches a new bond level they get all the abiities of that level. Each bonded pair levels up on its own, and so its abilities are independent from other pairs'.

I don't know that much about how the bondmate mechanic works. So, are these added to a pool of abilities randomly assigned to bonded soldiers, or are these added to all bonded soldiers?
