Fallout x Borderlands x Metro x Stalker type beat, with a smidge of inspiration from The Surge. Basically made this as a love letter to the "Mad Max in Space" vibe the Borderlands soundtrack gives me (hence why this modpack is so rife with it), trying to create an atmosphere that's both supah-sci-fi and postapocalyptic at the same time.

Rough background behind the story, long and short, the whole sitch is kinda what you'd get if you let corporations basically run the world to the point where they start going to war with each other. Said wars give some context behind some of the mutants you fight, the anthropomorphic wolves who're immune to radiation, the variety of guns seemingly made by different manufacturers, and the DISGUSTING amount of ammunition L4D2 naturally spoils you with just lying around. And of course the fact that the planet (and its neighboring moon) are bombed to smithereenos.

Best part, 'tis a complete conversion pack, so no need for cherrypicking. Some mod conflictions do exist, but none of them are game-breaking. After install, everything should still run buttery smooth minus only one or two sound effect/music overlays.

NOTE: To avoid seeing black squares under dead common infected, I'd recommend turning the gore effects down to low. The Fallout Ghouls don't have gibs anyway, so there's no real point in leaving it on (don't worry though, I made sure to incorporate Ultra Particles blood effects to compensate).

For the record: Custom map crash issue was RNG Code. My original mod would RNG each barrel in the L4D2 "DEFAULT" campaign you played. So if there were 5 Oil Barrels lying around, well each had RNG code attached to it. So you would see 5 Random Barrel textu...
