The game feels like Homeworld, and that's great. The new style of cutscenes are a welcome addition.
I like that the Paktu got some representation with Intel. One of my favorite kiithid.
One thing I kinda miss though is being able to hyperspace jump ships in combat.

It can be quite difficult making sure you have what you need when you do, especially going in blind. The story and presentation though are all top notch.

If I had to pick something to criticize... The research screen can be a bit difficult to navigate, especially when a story critical tech is introduced and you're not told what previously researched tech it's hiding under.
Ah and at least near the end of the game, I found that I would often pause repairs to prioritize some production and then forget about it and suddenly I've lost. The bar flashes when low but hardly.

Those are mostly just nitpicks but that's what I've got. Good game, Play if you like sci-fi and city management games.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the game. I just finished my first play through which actually makes it only the third Bethesda RPG I've completed the main story of. The other two being TES4 Oblivion and Fallout 3. I loved the aesthetic, even if the video gamey-ness induces a lot of fridge logic level strangeness. Being able to customize and do combat with your ship isn't a bar I expected a game like this to meet.

I do have some gripes, but being critical isn't something I'm great at.
My biggest issue is that you can't see your ship landing somewhere if you've already visited that location. Makes returning to any major city as interesting as clicking it on a map. I would love either an update or a mod to allow for it.
And with the outpost building, can we not get some sort of angle snapping? Trying to line furniture and stuff up is going to give me an aneurysm.
Also what happened to being able to direct your companions to interact with things?
Ah, yes. I did have one significant bug near the end. A quest to get a new ability bugged out and didn't actually provide the location, so I wasn't able to get it. Alas.

I'd say if you enjoyed (vanilla) The Elder Scrolls or Fallout 3 / 4 then I imagine you would enjoy Starfield as well.

Everspace 2 is an excellent game. The combat feels great as you boost and strafe around enemies. The loot and equipment has depth, but not so much that one need feel compelled to look up meta builds. The ship customization is well executed. The world and story too I must praise. The story won't blow your mind but it's an enjoyable adventure nonetheless. The voice acting was well done too, though sometimes the radio filter can appear inconsistently used.
While there's probably some aspects worth criticizing, I'm not very good at that so I'll just leave it there. Good game. I recommend.

If it's the atmosphere of this that you're interested in, then it might be for you. While nominally It's an FPS, ultimately it's mainly about progressing through the strange H.R. Giger inspired environments. Often there are puzzles to solve to progress and sometimes enemies to either avoid or engage.

There's a couple of simple weapons to give some variety to how you deal with threats, with very limited ammo provided. There's a stabbing sort of weapon, a single shot pistol type, and a shotgun type. Also a grenade launcher type eventually,

Can't say there's much noteworthy about the game for the gameplay itself, but it does do a good job of providing an intriguing setting for some horror styled exploration.

It was FFXIV that ultimately got me to play this game plus the reccomendation of my Free Company but it was truly a great experience in the end. It's in that category of RPG that not only is great the first time but that you feel nostalgia for later on and thus the desire to replay every once in awhile. It's not just any game that can include that last part and it's how you know there's truly something special about it. That intangible greatness.

Fun, intriguing, and a bit addicting. The card game aspect alone is worth it but there's also a story to uncover.

Definitely one of the most enjoyable MMO experiences I've had in the 20 years I've been playing MMOs.

A wonderful historic game. An incredible first person RPG. One of my favorite games of all time.
Also I'd consider it a great way to learn some Late Medieval history. It makes me want to visit the Czech countryside.
