I'm so sorry Fulqrum Games! I tried to give it a chance, i really did my best to NOT give this game a thumbs down but you guys ...well , it's all because of the price tag.
First of all, when i bought the game, i was expecting the "old russians" from 1C Entertainment to deliver something on the same level with previous original King's Bounty, regarding QUALITY , sound track, graphic design etc. but what can i say?!
YOUR GAMES I WAS PLAYING 10-15 YEARS AGO ARE A LOT BETTER !!!
Anyway. I understand that you couldn't come with any more original ideas for the old released King's Bounty games but , at least you could have find another name for this game, as it has nothing to do with that superb fantasy world, and the fact you guys mixed elves with dwarf, humans , dragons, undead and some "such-a-cliche" chaotic "race" it's ridiculous ! It supposed to be medieval ...or something, not fREAKINg aliens!!!
Almost 70 hours into the game and when things were getting relatively interesting , of course, game is ending. They (devs/company) valued this game at 35£ !!! Unbelievable. Here are some reasons why this game is overpriced:
Cons-
-it feels like a game it should have been released 10 years ago. from graphics and mechanics point of view;
-buggy enough to press load/save button quite often, as i got stuck in trees,rocks, blah blah bla;
-terrible voice acting;
-bad soundtrack (compared to amazing but repetitive ones from old King's Bounty games)
-most of the characters look the same and somehow reminded me of Elder's Scrolls Oblivion, which was released 17 years ago. Come on ! You can't release a game in 2021 with most of the male characters looking like clones. It's not called Clone's Bounty.
-not so complex upgrade character upgrade system for a 2021 game release
- ZERO option for weapons upgrade , not to mention most of the weapons found were ... Legendary. Yes. First game i ever played where Common/Uncommon/Rare/Epic/Legendary/Unique ratio is 1/0/1/0/9/0 . Of course, i do not expect from a game to implement this classical type of weapons but seriously?! Most of the weapon/armor drops Legendary ?! You just annihilated my vibe! The satisfaction! That feeling when you're finally rewarded with something powerful after a strong fight or boss and struggling to build something to be proud. Nah! Not in this case. Devs were very generous. Let's give them only Legendary weapons because they (we) paid 35£(40 $) ! Yaaaaaaaay. Everybody wins! Except idiots like me which prefer to deal with something more challenging and complex. Btw , i like your sense of humour regarding that Maximilian set item with -600 Leadership deduction. I was like wtf. Unexpected, loved it. Just this bit.
-just 2 maps and one of it ridiculously small
-disastrous puzzle system
-one of the saves was compromised because of some error regarding Epic Games failed connection , when i don't even have epic games installed on my PC
-the run in game ...boring and the WALK option totally useless
-controlling that horse on the PC version is ... MAN! I would have fed that poor horse to ancient wolves if i had the option! I can compare that horse with the developers of the game: going in the right direction but no jumps, slow progress and getting stuck most of the times. Now i really miss Roach from the witcher but i will try not to compare a diamond with a simple rock.
-no one likes sudden end games but this one it felt like i'm watching a mediocre movie and all of the sudden the power went off
-when i finally bought dragon, game ends
-hard mode...not that hard!
-finished with 160k gold and wondering what will i buy in 5 years or so when next DLC comes in. Intriguing.
PROS:
-side quests are non-repetitive
-enjoyed some moments in the game
-nostalgia. reminded me of old classics like gothic, elder's scrolls and few others
-good building designs, art

I have all or most of previous King's Bounty games which i loved and earned my respect for developers long time ago, maybe that's why i'm extremely disappointed they have not provided what i was expecting this time, which made me be subjective and much more aggressive regarding criticism and highlighting weak spots. I try to avoid giving bad reviews as much as possible but there are situation when i really feel the need of sharing my thoughts with people as dedicated and passionate as i am, just to help some others not to get scammed into this kind of pricing. I would gladly recommend this game on 80-90% discount but not less.
I am not a tester or professional gamer so whoever have something to say about all i wrote here, please take this fact into consideration.
