YES, this is an EA game. YES, there ARE in app purchases. YES, it’s still good.
I’ll start by saying that if you’re struggling to decide between Heat and Unbound, get Heat. Unbound is riddled with In App Purchases, Heat has about three or four if memory serves, and the base game has far more than enough content without them.
Many people dislike this game because it feels the same as other racing games, and they feel like the driving itself hasn’t progressed to where it could be. Speaking as someone who is brand new to racing games that aren’t Mario Kart, I don’t care if this has similar driving to other games because it feels FANTASTIC.
It has a pretty large garage, with tons of customization. It looks good and isn’t too hard to run. The story is generic, but serves its purpose.
To add to all of that, it goes on 80-90% sales all the time, so if it’s on sale, it’s completely worth it. I got at least twenty five hours of gameplay for $10.00.
Don’t be dissuaded by reviews saying it’s more of the same if the same also happens to be a ton of fun and ten dollars.
