This game has the best UI I have ever seen in a game!

The game is amazing BUT the f***king Ubisoft Connect launcher: I just spent 1 hour of my life trying to play THE GAME I PAID FOR because of connectivity issues with the server.

Really, GO F**K YOURSELVES!

Scraches my Exploration era RTS itch really well!

I want to like it but I can't. Go play something else. Play AOW Planetfall or 4. This is crap.

It's OK

Veteran of TW and RTS series but first timer trying a turn based game, I say it has me hooked up. Amazing game, time flies when playing. Very interesting and deep mechanics.

I changed my review, I find it pleasurable after version 1.5

It looks good, you WANT to like it, but unfortunately there is nothing here to like except the nice graphics.
I mean... so much potential LOST!
Difficult to navigate and too large interface!
Difficult to find information quickly. You always have to close one big menu and open another big menu.
And OK we have good graphics, good looking ships for a change... BUT... YOU HAD TO MAKE BATTLES TURN BASED, DIDN'T YOU? YOU HAD TO!
Turn based age of sail battles! Oh my GOD! As if we were playing Pokemon or something!

Also, why do the Dutch have Carrack as a special ship? Why do the French have the Caravel? Both of these are SPANISH and PORTUGUESE ships! Also they aren't supposed to be powerful ships, they are obsolete by the time the game takes place.

This game is all over the place.

Shame. Waste of potential. It's sad really.

It's the best game for Pirates out there. But it's very hard and people new to tgis just lose heart and stop playing it, losing a great gaming experience. With this review I also post some tips you should follow. Btw never mind the 0.3 hours of gameplay I have on steam, I have been playing this game since 2009.
