Finally we have a campaign for Rome when it was on it's infancy! Great DLC. The map of Italy is huge and the finally the game is a little difficult.

Also, the patchnotes on the free patch that is escorting this DLC are very welcome!

PS: As always some idiots are ruining the reviews for this DLC. Mixed reviews because said idiots didn't bother to read the Q&A of CA which very clearly stated that the ancestral update and this DLC wil not be available for MAC.

For fellow 80s/90s kids:
Yep! We are 8 years old again! This is exactly the game of my childhood but with modern graphics. Gameplay feels exactly same (which is nice!).

For people who have never heard of these games:
You are buying 3 games. It's a remake of an old school platformer trilogy from PS1 where you control a goofy human-like bandicoot through escaping a mad scientist's shenanigans. Beware: the game is difficult, the controls are very sensitive (they didn't change that in this remake) and at some levels you will question your sanity while wondering if the development team should go to jail as they may present a public enemy because of their sadistic nature!

PS: We didn't have a "save on demand" feature back in the day though, you had to collect 3 faces to save. If you went game over, you restarted the game from the last save which could be many levels before. And that IF you had a 8mb memory card! lol, oh, good old days!

Have fun!

Great addition! Buy it if you want to play as one of these factions.

The DLC comes with a free update that, appart from the women in politics features, fixes many bugs, including the iberian invisible javelins which isn't noted in the patch notes. Great update!

Some might get thrown off by the fact that now many factions have women as leaders but this is, in fact, historically authentic:
  • Teuta (Ardiaei queen - 1st Illyrian war)
  • Boudica (Iceni leader - Boudica's uprising)
  • Cleopatra (Ptolemaic Queen - 2nd Triumvirate civil war)
  • and many others...
Dont worry, Rome, Carthage, Greeks and other patriarchal societies don't allow female generals and leaders, only female "important characters" who act like politicians.

This DLC is worth the money. It adds a huge campaign with hours of gameplay. I bought it immediately and I recommend the same. I thank CA for giving new life to my favourite game.

The non-existent issue:
Most bad reviews are for the "disappearing models" issue. Guys listen:
The disappearing models issue that everyone is experiencing is a conflict with old mods, whch CA said repeatedly: Delete all mods and verify / reinstall the game! Delete, not just deactivate. The game works fine!

The real issues:
1) Some Shield Patterns Are Still Missing!
The initially missing Hoplite patterns are fixed, but the dacian shields ones are missing.

2) Scipio Africanus' age in Hannibal At The Gates
So Scipio Africanus was the Roman general who won the second punic war and he was 18 years old in 218 BC. Someone messed this up. It was correct in patch 17 but now someone mixed the father and the son in one character and Africanus is now 42 years old.

Here I made a mod that fixes these problems until CA releases a hotfix:

A game from the era when games were made by people who enjoyed making them and playing them! If you are an old gamer you probably know this game. If you are a young gamer or new to this... try to ignore the "bad" graphics and get into the gameplay of this masterpiece and you will have a blast!

Good so far
The classic monopoly game. I do have a good time playing a round or two with the AI. Hard AI is challenging but Im quite sure it cheats on the dice (you can win nevertheless).

Cons:
* No widescreen resolution
* AI cheats on the dice (or at least it feels a lot like it)

Buy it on sale

One of the best, if not the best, additions in the series
This game has taken the great gameplay of the old "Codename 47", "Silent Assasin" and "Contracts" and has improved upon it, creating a great formula and delivering a very good experience of stealth and assassination. Also, lots of replay value.

Great game! A classic in the series.

How to make this work with windows 10:
1) Download Dx9 Converter*[enbdev.com] (zip file)
2) Extract the contents in the game directory**

For widescreen resolution:
1) go to game directory
2) open Hitman2.ini with notepad. Scroll at the bottom and change the resolution to whatever your screen resolution is. Then change the "window 0" to "window 1". Bottom part in the ini should look like this (example for 1920x1080):

Resolution 1920x1080
DisableHWTnL 0
Window 1
EnableP5 0

Have fun!

*Dx9 Converter link in text form: http://enbdev.com/download_convertor_dx8todx9.htm
**Default game directory is:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Hitman 2 Silent Assassin

Agent 47 is back!
Yes! Finally! After the absolution crap, Hitman series is finally back on track! As a fan of Hitman games since Hitman 2, I am very happy. The game plays like Blood Money, but with better mechanics and graphics. Always online DRM has been disabled and you can finally play offline like you always should have been able to. It's a good thing that now IO Interactive is free of Square Enix and their shenanigans.

Pros:
- It's basically Blood Money with different missions, better graphics and better mechanics
- What, do you really need any other pro than that?

Cons:
- Although the always online DRM is no more, the game still connects to the servers if you are online and takes some time (not much) until it reaches the main menu. Not a big problem, I just hate to wait.

Solid game! Perfect example of how a series can be set back on track and how a good game can be made if the developers actually listen to the fanbase. Worth the money!
