Not as good as the newer ones but it is a good game. I personaly had some sound issues but they are fixed with a clean install. I recommend it. Also, the era in which it takes place (1700 - 1800 AD) is awesome!

I like the game but, man, too much time before entering the actual game! You have to wait for it to connect with the servers which takes more than 2 minutes.
When I am in the mood to play I always get dettered by that fact and say "screw it I'll play something else".
I currently have played 22 hours but that could be more if not for the 2-minutes-until-you-get-in-the-game thing

Swarmed with hackers lately. Valve doesn't care. Avoid. 2 out of 3 servers you will enter have hackers.

The game is very good. As a total war fan from the Rome 1 days, I very much enjoy Attila. It is not as good as Rome 2 in my opinion (probably biased because I love the classical antiquity period).

Pros:
- More difficult than previous Total War, offers good challenge
- Good UI
- Good Politics system, better than Rome 2

Cons:
The game is very badly optimized and even if you have the most powerful rig of 2016, you will play at an average of 30 fps on extreme in larger battles. I have i7 6700HQ, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB RAM and I was forced to play the game one stage down from the extreme settings because I couldn stand the low fps. Now I run it just under extreme (but with full unit size) in the more tolerable >30 fps range most of the time with some rare drops to under 20 fps if I zoom in on very crowded battles.

I picked the game and all it's DLC on a sale for about 30€ and I recommend you to do the same, although it is worth the 120€ if you cant wait as It delivers many hours of entertainment.

- If you like real time strategy games and you haven't played total war, then do yourself a favor and buy this one!
- If you are familiar with older Total War (Shogun 1 to Medieval 2) then you might not like this at first but it is better than the older ones in my opinion
- If you are new to real time strategy, then see some gameplay videos in youtube to help you decide if you like the genre alltogether.

In any event, this game is a masterpiece if you think about it:

As I was playing the game yesterday, I was thinking that there isn't any other game like this and like Total War in general. It is difficult to make such a game with these graphics and so big a scale of battles. I thank The Creative Assembly for providing us with these games. Whiners take all these for granted and focus on the little flaws but the Total War games are masterpieces.

Rome is the best of them for me, not because of the best mechanics (Attila and Warhammer win on that) but because of the historical era on which it takes place.

This, with Rome Total War, is the best Total War game (this being more stable and less laggy with huge armies than Rome). Don't hesitate to buy this game as your money will buy you hours and hours of entertainment.

- A serious warning and only negative to the game: This game is very addictive. It will drain hours from your free time. It will make you trying to quit playing it to start being productive again, but you will install it "just for one more time" again and again. It will drive you crazy.
For the love of God, if you have a busy schedule (exams, things to be done at home etc) do not even look at this page.
