This game was, without a doubt, one of the best in the RTS genre if not one of the best of all time. It was bigly ahead of it's time in so many ways. It was the first RTS to have a persistent player avatar that could be leveled up, with many options for customization. It was one of the only RTS to have ever allowed so many varied playstyles, as each race had different strengths and tactics. It perfectly blended the previous two points to allow you to tailor your game experience to have whatever kind of feel you wanted. The amount of development that had to have gone into making this all happen is mind blowing. More games should do this. This is hands down one of my favorite games of all time.
