Does PPC Effect do anything to enemies?

When I get hit by a PPC or even if I use one at too close a range, I get this visual glitch effect that sort of throws my aim off for a few seconds(though usually at that range it's sort of a moot point so whatever) but as far as I can tell that's all it's doing. Aside from the damage of course. Is it having an effect beyond that which i'm not noticing? Does that even have any meaningful impact on enemy aim? Cuz it doesn't really have much noticeable impact on my aim other than just being kind of annoyin...

Leopards inserting enemy mechs right on top of your lance

For the people who like this mechanic: why do you like it? The reasons for a map using a leopard to land mechs so close to the player vary, but this does happen a lot. Landing mechs right next to the player lance using an invulnerable leopard removes tactical and strategic control from the player and pretty much turns the player into an involuntary cage fighter. This mechanic isn't Mechwarrior if you ask me. I don't remember many situations like this in previous MW games other than things like cold starts...

Excellent game with mods... be sure to mod.. you must have mods or the game is garbage.. did i mention that mods are awesome? vonbiomes/Yet another series/coyote missions/pilot overhaul/TTRulez ai improvement are all must haves and what separates PC beauties from the console peasants.. if this offends you then come at bro.. i will be in my atlas laughing at your kidsole loving vanilla mech
