NEW folks must have voice comm (and say a word or two occasionally) for me to add you as a friend. It's just more fun that way. Leave a comment if we met in a peer-to-peer game, because Steam might not tell me we ever played together.

Zero hard feelings if I invite you and you decline. But I might re-invite you the next time we play :-)

I try to provide and expect back in return:
- Respect for teammates, their time, and game experience
- A fun attitude that doesn't endanger the team
- More camaraderie than the bots.

Mostly I'm looking for people to add as friends who add to the game socially. I don't care about your twitch reflexes. I hope you don't care about mine. OTOH, if the team is struggling and you're running ahead of much more experienced players because it's more fun for you - well, that's a problem.

I add friends easily. I remove new-ish friends on slim info - please don't take it personally; I misjudge people, I get people mixed up.

Comments? (below) are open to anyone, but I (might) delete them after a few weeks...or months, I guess. Messages get my attention faster, but messages are friends-only?

I TRY to only "block" deliberate griefers - people who deliberately spoil the game. (And by the way, if you check
"Friends -> Add a Friend -> Recently Played With"
and don't see the griefer's name, check to see who only has one alias and might have cleared their aliases immediately after griefing).
Tested: blocking WILL stop people from seeing your L4D2 campaign lobbies.


I usually play advanced L4D2 .


If you enable the developer console, you can bind commands to any key.
Options > Keyboard/Mouse > Developer Console > Enable
To open the console (once enabled)
Type ` (left quote or tilde...key just left of #1 key)

BTW, if you didn't know, in L4D2 you can toggle your crouch. This will relax your little finger (and your whole hand) considerably. The console command is:
> bind KEY toggle_duck
but it can be a bit difficult to get used to - chargers hit you more often if you can't just release a key when you want to stand up and move fast to one side.

If you're playing on one of ZBane 's servers, it's a good idea to add the following for activating laser-sights with a key (L key in example)
> bind L "say !laseron"


Other Steam co-op games?

- I played a bit of Killing Floor with the wonderful ZBane , Ms.Dagain & friends, but fell back into L4D2. And they did too :-)

- Borderlands? Played a bunch solo and with my brother, but in pub games in BL1, I HATED it when overpowered people joined. In general, I prefer games where dedicated players are rewarded with skill rather than huge advantages in killing power, so much so that they do 10+ times the damage of the weaker players.

- But I guess I'm gonna try some BL3 4-player teams soon. Too many good friends have switched to that exclusively. Still, I remain kinda bothered by BL's deliberately clumsy interface for most admin chores, overpowered super characters, "must play" "events," and the constantly morphing rules.

DiggerDog name origins? Unsure. I had been WoofWoof while thinking up a name with DD initials when joining a CoD:UO clan with initials DD; maybe I remembered the commercial for the old children's toy? or maybe I got the idea from the memory of my family's first dog that took such joy in being "bad" by racing around, digging holes, and getting thoroughly dirty after being forced to take a swim...to get him cleaned up.
