Best monster collecting game out there

Smooth and responsive control for great platformer. Fun but not too difficult puzzles challenges you to understand your powers. Stylish and enganging combat system with great boss designs. Enourmous worlds with some of the most amazing sceneries I've ever seen in metroidvania game. The level design is also great, I never really felt lost and understand where to go most of the times.
The only critics I have are the okayish story and the voice acting is lacking emotion

Overall it's a really amazing metroidvania, I would definitely recommend it to those who enjoy the genre. But if you are new to the genre, I also think the game is a good entry point since you can adjust the difficulty and most of the challenges are designed not to be too difficult except for some optional challenges

No explanation needed, this is Baldur's gate 3!

This is the first yakuza that I completed since I don't really like the beat 'em up style of combat of the other games.
I didn't expect this kind of emotional story at all, and turned out the game successfully made me shed a tear a few times.

I might need to revisit the other games too if the story is this good

Pros:
1. The battle is well made and feel unique compared to most strategy game. I think this is the strongest point of this game
2. The Exploration is fun break after the battle
3. Long playthrough. Around 40-50 hours if you rush it.
4. The story is okay, I guess.
5. If you like marvel's heroes, the interactions between the characters are quite interesting to watch

Cons:
1. A bit too much talking. Fortunately you can skip most of them
2. DLCs so far look underwhelming. Let's hope we got big expansion like WOTC to xcom 2
3. I'm sad because blade feels a bit underpowered compared to the rest of the team

Solid 8/10.

Bought the game in really really early version of the game. I quite liked the game. The combat was fun and the boss designs were one of the best I saw compared to many indie action roguelike games, but the flaws were really big turn off for me.
Each characters didn't feel that much different which madee the game felt repetitive after awhile. More importantly the performance was really poor which in fast-paced action game like this, could be really frustrating.

But after the newest update (by the time I wrote this (2022/12/11), they introduced signature skills to each heroes which certainly help each characters feel more unique, but more importantly the performance is significantly improved. The combat which was fun, now felt more satisfying.

I also joined their discord, and I noticed they really paid attention to feedback from their players.
With that attitude, this game certainly has the potential to be one of the top tier action roguelike out there, competing with game like dead cells and hades. Please keep up the good work dev team!

Short but enjoyable experience.

Combat is more similar to sekiro compared to dark souls. The parry, dodge, and everything feels intuitive and flow nicely which make the combat quite satisfying, but can feel repetitive after some time because of low enemies variety

Want to go with environmental story telling but I don't think it's on par or even close with dark souls, but nice try anyway

Might be my indie game of the year

A really good game, but not my favorite soulslike experience.

I don't really like the open world element. Even though it makes the feeling of exploration and discovery more enjoyable, I also think it's giving pacing issues to the game .

The boss designs are also feel underwhelming. The provided us with a lot more tools in this game compared to old fromsoft game, but I feel like the bosses weren't designed with it in mind.
I never use spirits after godrick battle and I never grind runes to be overleved, and I still think most of the battles feel fair. I saw a lot of youtube videos of people using mimic and I think it trivialized the game too much.
In the end, It's just my opinion, play the game however you enjoy it

Anyway, I'll still recommend it to everyone who enjoy soulslike and open world game.
My tips for more enjoyable experience are to avoid using any guide to discover things, and for old soulslike player to never use the spirits.

Solid methodical weighty combat, I enjoy the combat more compared to dead cell, and I really like dead cell.
The visual is great. You can clearly see enemies, their attacks, and triggered traps even in really chaotic situation.

My complain is on the lack of variety. I don't feel much differences between weapons and the random trait on weapon and relic are mostly related to stats. The game also feel short, I beat the standard boss in about 12 hours, and the hard mode don't really have many new stuffs to enjoy.

Overall It's a solid action roguelike but not the one with endless playtime.
I'll enjoy it for about 20-30 hours before moving on to the next game
