Good thing Ubislop disbanded the entire team after releasing the game. I was worried they were gonna start making good games again.

Unplayable on Steam Deck. The game requires you to sign in, but refuses to connect to the servers. You're stuck in an endless loop of entering Ubisoft login details, clicking Login, and then the page refreshes saying your session timed out. I wrestled with this for 15 minutes and gave up. Refund. It's too bad, it looks like a fun game and I was excited to play it. But their online requirement and broken servers actively prevent me from playing their game. Ridiculous.

I know I’m going against the flow here, but as someone who played the original Prince of Persia on DOS back when it first came out—on my 386, no less—this game just didn’t click with me. It’s undeniably a polished experience, but the cinematics, voice acting, and script all felt off. The dialogue didn’t pull me in, and the overall tone of the game just wasn’t Prince of Persia.

I picked this up as part of the bundle with The Rogue Prince of Persia, and to my surprise, I enjoyed that one far more. The music, the atmosphere, and even the story felt more in line with what I associate with Prince of Persia. The Lost Crown, on the other hand, felt like a flashy action platformer wearing the franchise’s name rather than something that truly captured its spirit.

If you’re new to Prince of Persia, maybe this will work for you, but as a longtime fan, it just wasn’t what I was looking for.
