i want to ♥♥♥♥ all the men in this game

I love old men yaoi, amazing game tho the story fell off during the second half

Others have said it before and I'll say it again with this one, I wish there was a middle ground between recommending and not recommending. This game has good qualities to it but as a long time fan of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series I can't help but be disappointed with this game.

I'll say right now that my biggest problem with the game is the story. Overall I think Infinite Wealth has the worst story of any mainline Like a Dragon title, and to me it's not even close. I don't want to get into spoilers, but there are several parts of this game that almost feel like the writers are insulting your intelligence with how poorly it is written. I've seen other people mention this, and I can't help but agree that Ichiban feels like half the character that he did in his debut title. They narrowed him down to one character trait and made that his entire personality when it comes to the story of the game (in the side content he's still a great character). That's not to say that he isn't still endearing, but he's significantly more one dimensional than in the previous title.

One of the most important parts of any Like a Dragon game is the side content. What draws you in is the story and what keeps you coming back is the fun and wacky substories and mini-games. Unlike in other Like a Dragon titles however, I didn't really feel compelled to do side content like I did with say, pocket circuit racing in 0, or the Four Shine missions in Kiwami 2. That's not to mention that most of the side content available in the game is found in Ichiban's section of the game leaving you with very little to do when you play as Kiryu.

Do I think this game is terrible, no I don't. I think this game is fine, just above average, a 6/10 normally but it can pass as a 7/10 on a good day.

Should you buy this game, I would say wait for a sale if nothing else, this game is worth playing for completions sake if you're a long time yakuza fan, otherwise just play one of the better older titles instead.
