LAD 8 is without a doubt is 7 part 2 with all the additions and greatness you would expect from sequel, with movement added to combat, more jobs, a whole new area Hawaii, and more. If thats what you are looking for, buy the game immediately 100% recommend. I only have one serious serious problem with the game:

[ABSOLUTE MESS OF A STORY (NO SPOILERS)]
My only SERIOUS SERIOUS issue with 8 is its absolute mess of a story, which no, I would never give this game a thumbs down for that even though it pissed me off to no end, because everything else about this game is as well done as you would expect from this series and better than 7. I wont go into spoilers, but I have heard handfuls of others say the same, the story drags on forever, some seriously dumb plot scenarios occur, and later on the protags split, Ichibans story is a snore, with a questionable conclusion, Kiryus is a mess that tries to do something very integral for the series to move forwards, will keep it VERY vague to not say any spoilers, but I dont know how to feel about it still.

Overall its 7 part 2, in every other way. Though its struggle to have a clear identity of what it wanted to do with its story and at times its general direction is a mess that I cant help but feel was an undercooked delivery that left me quite upset at its result. Nonetheless, the greatness you would expect from the LAD franchise. I suppose when it comes to story though, RGG is just gonna have to swallow that hard pill to swallow and grow some balls. If you have played the game, you will know exactly what I am talking about. Move forwards RGG, commit, no fear. You know what we must do.
