i like it but i also like Dune a lot. there is a problem tho. Unreal 5 hates older pc's(so im told).

what ever complain i had about crashing they or i did something and now it seems to be fixed.

i have too much free time and i like this game a lot. combat gets kinda iffy but is pretty fun.

i came up with a game idea in 2007-ish and this is what it looked like so quite literaly my dream game.

even though i have problems with day one dlc and the accursed blood dlc (i know they do it like that for age ratings and marketing) i do like how dlc from the first 2 games carries over into this one for the mortal empires campaign mode. (the classic total war mode)

At launch it was pretty bare bones unless you had dlc from the first 2 games. now id reconmend getting it and some dlc's while they are on sale. The modding community is not quite on the same page as it was in the first and second games yet, but there are some pretty cool mods that change how the game plays out there for some unique campaigns. Also what it is 8 player co-op/head to head campaigns that is just impressive. almost makes me think of heroes of might and magic.

The game is really fun mechanically but it is hard, i think i have cursed the combat in this game more than my unga bunga build in eldenring. Then again i have not beaten shadow of the erdtree yet.

if you can get it cheap on sale maybe a 2 for one when the sequel comes out

my first metal gear believe it or not the game play is really good even if you are coming from the other games it is worth a try if you can get it cheap enough.

i like the premise of the game being civ in space and would recommend it if you can get it cheap.

it does feel like it is missing something though which i cant quite put my finger on it. has some cool mechanics but sorta feels weird idk. And it makes me wanna play "supreme commander forged alliance forever" for some reason.

pretty fun looter shooter borderlands title, but im not compelled to play start to finish a 1000 times like i did the other titles. maybe it is the story or character dont quite grab me like in the older ones idk. if you get it cheap it is a good buy

It is really fun vanilla but modding is where it is at but that has problems. This game is cursed for me everytime i spend hours making sure mod list is not going to crash the game the game itself and not the mods throws a fit and ruins it. So mod at your own risk (they kinda tell you that to begin with) ill probably update my review after i reinstall the game next year thinking i can have fun again.

It is difficult, the biggest thing is not knowing whats around the next corner and getting bonked several times till you realize oh ya i should probably go somewhere else till i get stronger. If you are bad at timing dodges and that kind of thing you might find the game hard as well.

The important thing is to remain calm. just ignore the shouting you hear from somewhere in the western hemisphere. lol

Probably the last decent total war game i have played. i hear Atila is pretty good now too and i have played warhammer but the dev's dlc and game design thought process has really killed it for me. any how buy rome 2 on sale with the dlc and have yourself a good time. or buy and mod the hell out of empire/napolean/shogun 2/ medevial 2 for A REALLY GOOD time
