How do you go from lethal to non lethal modes for a rifle ?

I just downloaded the game for the first time and I cant seem to open the game. I Keep getting this error ---- The procedure entry point _crtCreateSymbolicLinkW could not be located in the dynamic link library C:WINDOWS/SYSTEM/MSVCP110.dll. ---- when i open the game form the directory file and not from steam. With Steam it does nothing at all when I try to start it up. I've tried every solution i could find the google and youtube. CAN ANYONE PLSSSS HELP MEEEE...

How does the community play this game? Do people care about going full non-lethal as to keep the horn small or do people play lethal a lot more. Cause I have found that play non-lethal only leads to Motherbase having like 100+ people in the waiting room. So all I do is play non-lethal until I max all the platforms then I just go lethal and let the volunteers you get after every OP fill the rest of the spots....
