This game is the reason why expectations SHOULD NOT be twice your height.

When this game got announced/wishlisted by me, I expected it to be some kind of parkour-esque, visually aesthetic game with spacious visuals (kinda like NaissanceE). And it was pretty cheap, so I deemed it worth a shot. (Potential small spoilers ahead.)

To put it bluntly - no, I didn't beat it. I dropped it at the second-to-last chapter.

If you intend on buying this game, I'll start with the pros (I'm stretchin' it here):

1. Pretty depressing, dark, and oppressive ambient - feels like you're in a lifetime stalemate.

2. Megalithic, distant surroundings - I'm a fan of that.

3. Movement feels pretty good for a game where it is the main driving force.

Now with the cons (and oh boy, they are certainly there):

WARNING TO EVERYONE READING - Most of the negatives are my personal opinions and tastes, to which this game does not correspond well.

1. Forced pixelation "style." (I dislike this "forced" bad quality just for the sake of it, where all the textures together have fewer pixels than a dirt block from Minecraft. It really ruins the visuals.)

2. Terrible sense of scale. YOU CANNOT measure the distance by eye - you have to test it physically. Which ruins the planning part in parkour.

3. "Vague" story. I know that getting lore for granted is kinda boring, but this style of "You'll get the idea of what's happening after someone explains it to you" is uncool. The main character sets a physical goal (that keeps you moving), but you won't get answers to anything outside of it (to anything/anyone that is outside the tunnelling goal).

4. Sewer-ish choice of colors. I was never a fan of playing through a game where every texture has a brown/orange and sewage-ish yellow color scheme. Who would want to play a game that looks like you're moving through the lower intestines of a giant? Most of the walls look like literal bricks of yknow what, and the pixelated style is not helping here.

5. Stamina existing - that's pretty controversial, but for me, having a stamina bar in a semi-open, exploring game is so trash. It removes all the speed, fun, and imagination from parkouring and makes you go a built-in path like in some linear shooter. And it drastically increases difficulty for - AND I'll say it again - an EXPLORING/ADVENTURING game. Although it's been partially fixed by explorer mode.

6. Sudden "light saber story" reference and life existing in this mega-structure (other than barely alive explorers). This is actually the reason I dropped the game in the first place. The moment I saw that there are "THE FORCE story" ships flying, it was so disappointing - it means this structure is still inhabited and, instead of being a mystery, is just someone's home. Meeting barely alive explorers created suspense and some terror, but now it's basically loitering.

A snail walks into a bar, but the bartender says, "We have a strict snail policy!" - and kicks her out onto the street. A week later, the snail returns to the bar and says to the bartender: “Well, why the fuск did you do that!?”
