One of the best group games in a while from a studio that genuinely seems to care. They've made some iffy decisions but their heart is in the right place and we're working towards a more democratic future. For liberty, divers!

Early Access Review
Promising start! Runs great, looks great, and has some cool mechanics. Not much hand holding but it's been fun learning how things work. Excited to see where development takes it.

Threads of Elite Dangerous mixed with No Man's Sky, all wrapped up in a Bethesda RPG package. Very much a game I needed.

Needs some work, but is pretty much what I've always wanted.

Pilot mechs, blow stuff up, and explore space. What's not to like?

Lots of different mechs, lots of different weapons and a decent enough map variety (especially with the DLC) to have a fun time solo or with friends. Some of the missions are pretty good as well, and the voice acting isn't bad either. Biggest drawback is when a weapon gets shot off your mech, it's gone. Somewhat makes searching out those hyper rare weapons a bit pointless if you decide to get risky. Throwing your pilots in the deepend can be a very costly venture and the arbitrary deployment tonnage only adds fuel to the fire. Some mods and workshop tweaks make this game a great time when it's otherwise a very stressful and UI heavy experience. Still though, it's cool as hell.

Took way longer than it should have to get this running properly. Controls were unresponsive, camera was shooting all over the place, but I'm glad I stuck with it because this game, while flawed, is amazing.

It doesn't hold your hand, or explicitly tell you a story, but the painted environments and the music craft a gorgeous, haunting atmosphere that has tendrils of a beautiful narrative. Not long, but definitely worth playing through.

Absolutely adored this game on PS4; played through it so many times and was swooning over the news of a PC version. Disappointed mostly with the quality of the port, because it deserves so much better. It's mostly minor technical issues that seem to be a product of it being designed without the dev team ever considering a PC version. Things like choppy animations when characters move quickly in cutscenes and weird object shifting/lighting changes within 30 frames of a camera cut: they're not deal breaking but they're definitely immersion breaking. That said, it's worked well enough for me so far, and I've been able to get a pretty solid 60 at 1080 out of it. I have a 1080ti, i7 4790K 32GB of RAM. Needs a performance patch but is definitely playable. Absolutely worth a playthrough if you can tolerate the hiccups, at least until they're (hopefully) fixed.

Edit: Guerrilla have done a great job fixing this game. Runs much better now than it's initial release. If you passed it up before, now's a great time to jump in.

This game is awful. Physics are horrendous, playing with friends is next to impossible, rubber-banding out the ass, and the map looks like it's from 2008. Definitely a downgrade from the first game. Also tell Dr. Strange to ♥♥♥♥ off folding the planet.

As of May 2021, the multiplayer appears to work properly. It still suffers from horrible physics, rubber-banding and dated graphics in places, but it's infinitely more playable than it was a few years ago. If you're looking for a driving game (albeit pretty basic) with a decently expansive map, there aren't many choices beyond this.
