Playing Dragon Ball: Sparking ZERO takes me right back to my childhood. I can’t help but remember those long gaming sessions with my best friend, battling it out, trying to outplay each other, surrounded by laughter, loud music, and snacks. This game captures that same feeling of joy and nostalgia that Dragon Ball has been missing for a long time. While I love every Dragon Ball game, this one just hits different, and I can’t get enough of it.

The "What-if" alternate storylines are a standout feature—it's like the game took all the scenarios I daydreamed about over the years and brought them to life. There are so many fun twists and turns to explore! That said, some of the conditions to unlock these alternate endings can be a bit frustrating. Many are just about clearing battles quickly, but the lack of a timer to signal when you fail a condition can make it tough to know exactly what you're doing wrong. Some missions give you distinct voice lines to clue you in, while others leave you guessing. It can be hard to tell whether you’ve succeeded or need to retry.

Visually, the animation and graphics are stunning. The voice actors clearly poured their hearts into their roles, and you can feel it in every scene. The game’s return to traditional Dragon Ball fighting games feel and storytelling really reminds me of Budokai Tenkaichi 3, and I’m all for it.

Overall, Sparking ZERO is an amazing game, and I think more people should give it a try. It’s never too late to jump in—unless you're super competitive, in which case the ladder might frustrate you. My advice? Grab some friends, have fun, and embrace the lighter side of gaming. Not every match needs to be about climbing the ranks; sometimes, it’s all about enjoying the experience together.
