I will not go in depth as to not take away from the experience of playing for the first time.

I remember buying this game while I was really burned out with video games, I saw it on sale
during the steam summer sale in 2019 and said ,,Hey this game looks cool let me try i!".
I instantly got hooked and played it for the next 2-3 months everyday having a huge blast. From a mysterious and compelling story to a complex combat and relaxing exploration of the areas the game has a lot going for it, with the charm system and different abilities that you can find/earn in various areas of the game also including the nail arts you can learn, the way you play will instantly change.
You can make some builds with the charms that change the abilities that you picked up instantly from shooting a ball of soul to shooting a shotgun blast of flukes dealing insane amounts of damage fast, don't feel like you can cut down your enemies? no worries make a companion build that can take them down for you, want more movement whilst being more deadly? use charms to make it longer while also dealing damage to your enemies.
The game has a really good and fitting soundtrack that makes the game feel better in every instance, exploring, from fighting normal enemies to fighting bosses it really elevates everything in the game to the max. The personalities of the characters that you will find in the game are really well done without saying more about them, they fit and portray the characters really good.
The game has a lot of depth and complexity to it's combat and it makes every encounter with new bosses really fresh and interesting, the abilities you collected whilst making you way to the boss also changes how you will fight the boss.
Alas that's all that can be said without spoiling many aspects of the game.

Now the DLCs in this game are really good and they are also free, hey free content who doesn't like that?

• The 1st DLC Hidden Dreams released on August 3rd, 2017, it's a major QOL update with some improvements to the game. Adding 2 new bosses, 3 new enemies, 1 ability and 1 new area along side 1 menu style and 2 achievements to earn.
  The bosses being The White Defender and Grey Prince Zote, they are both dream boss fights. They both have new themes, new attacks and the new 3 enemies are tied to Grey Prince Zote. Really cool fights that add a lot to the personality of the characters that we find them at.
  The new ability added was the Dream Gate that helps a lot with the backtracking in the game and makes more use of the dream nail. A good QOL update.
  
  
• The 2nd DLC The Grimm Troupe released on October 26th, 2017, it's a Halloween themed DLC with spooky stuff. Adding 2 new bosses, 3 new enemies, 5 unique charms, 3 unbreakable version's of the breakable charms version, 5 NPCs, 1 new charm notch for more charm combinations, 1 new Hunter's Journal entry, 1 new area that I will go in depth later, 1 menu style and 3 achievements to earn.
  First thing first the bosses, Grimm and Nightmare King Grimm are both done incredibly well whilst both also adding some difficult fights. Grimm being the normal version and Nightmare King Grimm as the name implies the Nightmare version of him making him in one of the hardest bosses in the entire game. They both have very fun attacks to dodge whilst keeping it very fair for the player. Both of them have their own theme that fits them perfectly, once again making the fights a lot more enjoyable and fun.
  The area that was added in the DLC was The Path of Pain that as the names suggests it's painfully hard to complete, it's a hidden area that you will unlock after entering The White Palace. The reward is a memory from the Pale King and a entry into the Hunter's Journal as the Seal of binding. The entire DLC feels very organic to the game and was really nicely done.
  The new enemies, NPCs and charms will not be covered as to not go on forever.
  
  
• The 3rd DLC Lifeblood released on April 20th, 2018, it's like the first DLC Hidden Dreams, only bigger and better. Adding 1 new boss, mapping tools, visual and audio changes, enemy changes, NPC changes and charm changes along side 4 new menu styles.
  The boss Hive Guard was added to the Hive since it always felt it was missing one, he is really well done and has it's own theme that fits him perfectly.
  The mapping tools are some new pins that help a little bit if you need to backtrack somewhere and don't want to forget.
  The visual changes are a complete visual redesign for the hive, also the player can skip the animation for travelling the stagways.
  The enemy, NPC and charm changes will not be covered as to not go on forever.
  
  
• The 4th and last DLC Godmaster released on August 23rd, 2018. Now this DLC it is it's own game within the game. Adding 7 new bosses, 2 new enemies, new mechanics like the Pantheons, Hall of Gods and the Eternal Ordeal, 2 new NPCs, 1 new item and 2 existing items, 3 areas, 2 new endings, 1 new mode, 1 menu style, 2 new Hunter's Journal entries and 6 new achievements.
  This DLC is quite the longest and Hardest DLC for the game. Sadly as this is the biggest and longest DLC I will not cover it as to not go crazy, I suggest going to watch youtube videos about this one as Youtubers like mossbag and fireb0rn can explain it better then me a random guy on steam.

And with all that all I can say I love this game and everything about it. Really give it a try if somehow you didn't already.
