I know there isn't console crossplay, but does Steam/EGS crossplay exist?

Cant find any hosted games and when i host it takes to long. Boring to play alone.

Stage 13 is impossible to beat without help. its just not doable on any difficulty

I just started to play and saw the "old" hero beeing retired for a new more "diverse" team. I am not that far into the game, so I just wondered if the old hero is coming back as a playable and if there were some political strings attached to that "diversification". I wouldn't have minded the change in the lineup, if there really were a diverse lineup with like four different options....
