I was enjoying a thunderstorm in my city just now, but the velocity of sound is really taking me out of it. I am neither modder nor programmer, but would it be possible to delay the thunder sound effect randomly for 0-5 seconds after a flash of lightning? Even better if the thunder can be more diffuse (a little longer and softer) the longer it has been delayed.

Quite possible the low-key most helpful sounds mod. No more annoying beeping for one and love the realistic sounds of a busy, thriving city!

@Patriot3791 as this mod is just a sound pack for the Ambient Sounds Tuner mod it should not need to be updated as long as AST doesn't require it. I'm currently using the mod with the Snowfall and After Dark DLC and it works perfectly fine. I don't own any of the newer DLC.

@rainbowsandvich Ambient Sounds Tuner hasn't been updated in a long time, but I'm using it with this pack currently and it works just fine. Maybe it's DLC related, but I really can't help, sorry.

This mod crashes my game on the load screen and resets the game settings to defaults (not just audio settings but all settings).

Wow this is a totally game changer mod! I was using bee's north American pack since 2015 and I just found this one!! no more annoying beeping sound when near commercial. The reduced amount of siren for police,ambulance,fire truck is also a plus!.

I like all the sounds with this mod except the engines. The loop doesn't work very well and there is a very annoying noticeable sound between loops of the noise. I always just turn it back to default for engines. I'd love it if you fixed this!

So far I only use this mod to turn off the squawks of the seagulls - since I like to have the birds themselves flying about but don't necessarily want to hear them - I'd rather hear the smaller vanilla game birds instead.
But for this, at least, this mod works fine and has caused me no errors.

This mod is great and so is the French sirens one,

May i suggest/idea an "Italian siren mod"? This will greatly emprove the gameplay of italian-themed cities and worlds

@KralstGerecht I have yes. I've removed the mod and installed it again. I do hear the sirens from time to time, I'm guessing maybe I was just catching the truck as it pulled up to the fire as I see they turn their sirens off just before pulling up.

@elko84 Thanks for pointing that out, however I don't know what could be causing the issue. Have you made sure that the sound effect for fire trucks is set to the corresponding sound from this pack?

It says that fire trucks always respond with sirens. However when I find a fire truck, I usually don't hear anything. I've moved the slider all the way to the right for them too in the options.

@jon.jefferys Unsubscribe from Ambient Sounds Tuner 2.0 and then resubscribe to it so that the mod loads after Ambient Sounds Tuner: KRA - Kra's Realistic Ambience Sound Pack . That way AST will be able to find the sound packs while it is loading because KRA is already loaded. You might still get a bug report but it won't bear any matter.

Oh, and don't forget to follow the instructions on the description page of AST.
P.S-Anybody who races goats can't be too bad ...

These Sounds do not show up in the options for Ambent Sounds Tuner 2.0.
Only Options for the Municipal Sounds that I have installe also.
What is the problem?

@Naga's Heir : it's easier, in your options menu (ingame or main menu) you just go to the "mod options" tab and you click on "ambient sound tuner" where you can choose between the soundpack, custom and default.

@gravage you're welcome :) my next move will be adding a slider and a better sound effect for planes, train and metro stations (no more "ding dong ding" when a metro stops lol) into the original .XML, i can share it with a "user manual i guess" if i can understand how to "post" things in the workshop.

Also "Pond5" website is full of good stuff, search for "metro subway depart" for example, but that's not free so i will consider buying this if the Throak and Acc3s Violation are ok with my "mods modding" thing lol

For now i can't play anymore because of some tram tracks (i wanted to try this thing for once) i can't bulldoze, i can erase the lines, the depot and the stops but the stops tracks remains and i got an error message loop every 17 seconds.. i'm going to make a thread on it because i spent a lot of time on this city and i don't want to restart it.

I've copied and pasted all of this into a file I call Nexus XML101 immediately just in case this gets deleted. Out of appreciation I am going to absorb all this, I am far from computer savvy.

I don't have any ideas about sound effects but I know a couple people in both the movie and television Hollywood efx production circles and an incredible sound engineer so i will ask around. I am going back to LA on 11th of January for a couple weeks so if I don't come up with something by then maybe I'll get some info while out there. In the meantime I'll pop a couple emails or phone calls.

Hello. Can you create a new sound for airplanes? Would be very interesting. The current sound of the planes is very annoying. I would recommend Boeing 737 like the videos below:

I personally love Acc3ss Violation and Thaok's work (the .xml and mod) but i personally don't like the sounds because you can hear a little "bump" when each sound is played, its because they aren't real sound effets (that's hard to get in good quality) and are from bad recording.

I'm French so i'm working on a (plugin/.xml) wich will add french metro sounds like this :

But like you can imagine, i'll need a pro recording equipement, an undergound and elevated station empty of all users, just me, and a to shut down the nearby traffic.. this is impossible!
I searched into pro sound effects databanks (you have to pay for these ones) and still, nothing! Like no one cares about metros! So if you have any ideas about that i'm all hears.

Now the Extra Sound effect mod (with cool lights, steam and sounds) can add a lot of realism.
It adds sounds to some train models IF (and that's a big if) their authors decided to do so.
Some did, like Von Roth and his beautifull trains i'm using as metros (X-60~61~etc) and some didn't in the first place and then added a "compatibility plugin" (a DLL) wich make a link betwean the train itself, composed by a 3D model and a "vehicle_effects.xml" in the same asset folder and the Extra Vehicle Effets mod.

You can hear all the sounds, variations and so on, its beacause the .xml tells "if the train turn radius is like that, then play the "anoying break sound.ogg".
