@hardeermaxim Nevermind, we've figured out the source of the crash and have temporarily disabled the issue-script while it is fixed in the background. It shouldnt crash anymore

@hardeermaxim yeah ive had some here-and-there reports of it crashing on-load. Try restarting your game entirely before creating a new world. If not, you may have to try the manual setup

Hey, excellent new update! How does it work with the new survival update? It uses it or still relays on mods for the needs and the other survival stuff?

@Beamster it can be played in any way you wish! Just keep in mind, if you are using a Dedicated server, make sure you follow the additional setup instructions

Is this modpack supposed to be singleplayer focused or is it ok to do co-op with buddies?

@jeanluc the wood burning is part of the balance & data pack. You use them in the wood furnace generator
As for the crash, if you are playing in single-player please join the Discord and send me your log. If you are on DS, be sure you've removed EDSR, plant and cook, and all of it's compatibilities

Which mod adds the wood burning generator? I converted logs to logs for woodburning, but it doesn't output power, so I'd like to read up on it but I can't figure out which ones to read.

Also I have proper load order but when I start a game, at the starting spawn screen if you don't click to spawn within ~4-8 seconds, it crashes my entire game. If you hit spawn fast enough it works fine and never comes up again

Chef's Special update is out. This update is HUGE, so double check you've updated your load order. Numerous mods have been swapped for similarly-named mods

@SpaceAce01 for some reason I dont see basic assembler on my list. started the game, but cannot move forward... I got the assembling bench, I also see that I can create assembler (requires metal grid), but I cannot create any of the basic assembly since doesnt exist on my list.

@Space Ace Great modpack, but I can't find modules for furnace, like efficiency or speed, It's not allowed?

@Helix do servers automatically add dependencies? most people have been able to play with just that one mod removed. However plant & cook isnt required without hunger

Oh, and on that note of removing EDSR, it is a dependency for Plant and Cook so it would just redownload and include it self until removing that one as well.

@Space Ace - So far so good. We're running a dedicated server and have noticed one thing so far in the first hour. Trying to pick up and move anything (pressing R) wasn't working, we saw the green line but it wouldn't budge. Did a little research and this mod https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2890866161 appears to not be MP compatible, however, it has a MP experimental version.

@Helix Pretty good if you locally host. Dedicated server you just have to remove Eat. Drink. Sleep. Repeat.

The "Contact Established" update is now out!

The Contact update has introduced several mod issues, including crafting discrepancies and issues with advanced rotors. Please be patient while creators work on getting fixes rolled out. This is the largest update the game has had in a long time.

In regards to the new content, all of the new Global Encounters added in the Contact update will still function perfectly in this pack, along with the new Prototech blocks and components. Have fun hunting those Proto Assemblers!

Several hotfixes have happened in the past few weeks. Returning users should check your load orders. Several sizable gameplay changes/fixes have been implemented.

@Order Prerogative you shouldn't need to walk if you're playing right. I played 100 hours with this pack and never had an issue. Make a rover and drive around instead of walking. You can make everything you need with your survival kit refining. If you don't like a mod simply remove it. Also some parts of it are purposely overwritten by other mods. It's just used for the jetpack and O2 changes to try to prevent hydro-manning and skipping the vehicle building. It isnt meant to hold your hand.

The Survival Less Likely mod is absolute trash, in my opinion. This game was not made with the idea of needing to walk constantly. You get stuck on everything that is not perfect ground.
On top of that, it’s apparently broken and has issues.

If it were only made so with more gravity, jetpacks would be less useful and would not just be straight-up trash. Consume more fuel to fly? Sure. Make oxygen harder to get? Go for it.
If you can rewrite it to work better with your mudpack and not just add another layer of annoyance with the game, do it. As it is right now, it does not add difficulty; it just makes you want to alt+f4 each time you get randomly stuck.

End rant.

You should only be spawning on earth. Spawning at other planets completely throws off the difficulty progression and you'll run the risk of unfairly getting wiped by the NPCs. For the stepping, I'm not sure what you mean

I mean that there are only 2 planets with no oxygen you can spawn at and their gravity is at 0.25

Also, is there a way to make Engineer less.... Incapable of climbing almost any step.

@Order Prerogative Ooh that is a part of the new "Holo HUD" mod my mistake. And you can add/remove whatever you want but I can't guarantee reliability with other setups. For the planets just make sure they're all "Industrial Overhaul" compatible. Also, keep in mind, the pack is meant to be hard.

Can I add planets from other mods? I don't like that only nonoxigen planets are with 0.25 gravity.
Is it possible to run this modpack in the Real Sol system from community?

@Order Prerogative That is a bit odd. You should see the same signals inside and outside the ship unless you have another antenna somewhere that your ship is connected to. If you already tried restarting the game, message in the "Bug Reporting" discussion and ill figure out what's going on.

Also worms are soo hard to kill...

It's just the ship UI sees signals much further than my antenna.

There aren't any mods that change that. If you didn't already know, "H" will cycle through signal visibility modes

Enemy and neutral points are hidden on HUD? My mess up or some mod?

@Order Prerogative Yea you just start Keen's solar system game and add the mods in order. I know the setup isn't the easiest right now but I've made sure there is NO setup in the upcoming scenario version.

I had to manually add each mod kill me pls.

How to set this up? I am completely lost.

Summer Heat Update is now out! It's a bit later than I wanted because the scenario version has been a lot of work. Be sure to make a backup save before switching to the new pack version, as some fundamental mods have been changed, and some asteroids will be removed from the world.

Scenario version "Legacy of the Forgotten" is now officially in development. It will take a long time, but the ball is rolling.
