WHEAT & WAR UPDATE
This pack adds a multitude of mods to make the game longer and more in-depth, re-balancing nearly every block & system in the game. I've used my 5,000+ hours of SE experience to curate a balanced hardcore realism beatable modpack for single or multiplayer survival.

The original collection pack, along with the full modlist, can be found here

Note to server Hosts: This is technically not a pre-packaged modpack. This is actually a savegame with the mods pre-injected at the right intervals to ensure mod stability after going through the workshop, and allows for things like original economy factions for each save. To use this on a server, load the save solo and import the newly-created local copy of the save to the server to ensure all mods are loaded properly and in-order

Latest Pack Major Update: September 8th: "Wheat & War"

Update notes available here

MASSIVE thanks to all the dedicated SE mod creators that make modpacks like this possible in the first place!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Includes:

- An endgame task so you can "beat the pack"
- Nearly 2 years worth of balancing and tweaks
- Massive amounts of new incentives
- Jakaria's Water mod
- AwwScrap
- Completely reworked Industry & Progression
- New block materials ranging from basic wood (usable for wooden rafts) to high tech Composite
- Realistic Wind & Grid Aerodynamics
- Greatly improved Economy system usefulness
- New NPC animals, enemies, and grids for every planet & space
- Massive Player Suit Nerf & Rework
- Improved visuals
- Much more that you will have to find out for yourself!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stuff to know

- The official guide is available here.
- Beating the pack will usually take 100+ hours so be prepared.
- Many blueprints will need to be slightly reworked before they can be used in this pack.
- You must have vanilla progression turned off in options.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tips:

- Use the backslash (\) key to toggle quest visibility.
- Type */autoore showhud false* to hide the ore pickup UI in the bottom right
- The first machine you make is now the "Assembling Bench" instead of the basic assembler.
- Wooden Boxes or Transport Crates will be your first storage
- Trees can be cut down for wood, which is then turned into planks. Wood is un-affected by AwwScrap and floats well on water
- The maximum achievable ship speed is now 1000m/s.
- The suit jetpack has reduced thrust, not allowing you to fly on any planets. The most you are able to do are small "hops". Jetpacks still work in space and moons, but are sluggish The starting suit can later be swapped for better options in the Medbay cosmetics bay.
- Oxygen consumption has been greatly increased, so make sure your spaceships have onboard O2 tanks.
- Hydrogen systems no longer serve as power generation, but (very efficient) power storage. For fuel-based power generation you will have to resort to other fuels or methods.
- You can place a collector in water to collect infinite ice.
- Hold Ctrl before grinding to detach a block from a grid. Click R to pick up the object (up to 1.5t, yea the Engineer's stronk). Use Weld Pads to attach blocks to other grids.
- All planets have different atmospheric properties. Keep this in mind if making parachute-based landers. Atmospheres chart Available Here
- Laser antenna power efficiency is increased by 100x. Go ahead and laser link your bases across the solar system without nuclear reactors.
- Jump Drives behave quite a bit different.
- Beware the abominations...
- Skim thru the mod list. There may be some things you didn't know you could do!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Known Issues
- [Bug] - Story mod will sometimes not trigger, leaving you stuck on the "prepare to leave the drop pod" step. If this happens, restart your game and create a fresh world. (This only applies to new worlds. You won't lose a story in progress)
- [Bug] - Changes to the "Texture Quality" setting may require a full game restart
- [Bug] - Additional undocumented issues have been reported on Linux, although these are not confirmed

So far it seems to only happen when looking through the camera at an assert base.

@Drex There is currently a known random crash on DS but its been un-replicateable at the moment. It has to do with your physical location on the planet somehow. If you join the discord and send your log I can confirm if you're experiencing that same issue or not

Loving the mod pack but I keep crashing.

@Revolution Peak Thanks, I'm glad you like it!

Grid detaching won't work if the block isn't owned by you, and the unknown signals spawn as "nobody" owned. Open up the control panel and claim the grid AND the block. As for the block lifting, there's a limit to the weight you can carry so the block may just be too heavy

Hello, love this modpack. Thanks so much for putting it together.
I'm trying to pick up the acid batteries from unknown signals as indicated in the guide but it tells me that I can't detach blocks from another faction. Also, when I hit R after detaching one of my own blocks it just shows a line. Not sure how to pick them up after.

I specifically flew around the planet in creative mode, vanilla ores and niter are every 300-500 meters, but nothing else
Space Ace  [author] 8 Nov @ 8:53am
@Cyber Refer to this guide for available ores, particularly in the "Revamped Ore generation" section. Theres more than just Niter, but some have been intentionally removed. https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3398061262

Why I cant find any io ores except niter on Earth?
