That version would be better I admit. But with all this time no one has tried to do it. So not sure if should hold out hope for it.I would be interested but having to start from scratch to learn blender would take for ever :-(

In my opinion it's probably a better idea for someone that has blender and scripting skills to make one that's not limited. This one's size makes it useless. Rovers and ships don't fit on it.

It would be a lot less limited if it were a block players can add to making the lift platform a reasonably larger but still limited size so rovers and ships actually fit on it that rides up and down a single drive rail with a single guide rail rollers fit in to on the other side. 7 different blocks.
- The drive rail that makes it go up and down.
- The guide rail that keeps it stable on the opposite side of the drive rail.
- A middle piece for the platform.
- A straight edge piece for the platform.
- A corner edge piece for the platform.
- A corner edge piece for the platform that includes controls to go to the floors.
- A call button block for the floors the platform is not on.

I have the idea...I'm not sure my blender skills are good enough. My scripting skills are definitely not good enough.

I will try it again then. Maybe was a mod conflict. 170k? My xml mods I made maybe 500-5000 long and made my eyes bleed lol
fun fact: his inventory manager is over 170.000 characters long in its unminified state. its actually longer than his bachelor thesis (which was around 150k characters)

btw that 15x15 wheel mod, you probably mean the wheel mod from Zantulo, didnt know it was broken but 2 years ago the last update... i used it a year ago and it was fine i think? didnt use the super wheel sizes but the 3x3 lifted ones and it worked all good.

With the scripts ISY has I would be surprised if has time. His scripts massive
i'm gonna ask isy, maybe he could take a look but i doubt he will find the issue directly why it wont work properly all the time in MP.
he's also a pretty busy man and doesnt have much free time either
dang, i'm not really a scripter either. at least not yet, i want to get into scripting but i havent started walking into it but i will try this year.
i do know how to work with blender, even managed to get some mods out for SE and technically i can do custom models for SE but moddeling isnt easy. i'm also good with testing and bug reporting but for this mod i doubt that i could fix it since i dont know coding at all.
i'm happy that at least someone made a fixed version for this mod because the original was completely broken after a update.

@Katarina: I would very much appreciate help with it. I assume it's missing server code but, to be franky honest, I lack a interest in fixing this one completely. I'm not a scripted. C# and JavaScript baffles me. If you think you're able to fix it go right ahead. I have a remote server we can use for testing. I'll accept it if you send a friend request so we can chat in real time if you like.

But on your topic... Jack really cool guy. He friend of mine and works hard on fixing the mods as well. Dont think he ever figured out the MP issue here though. But if you both could figure it out I am sure many players would be ecstatic.

I found out because your avatar looks topless on my screen lol So checked profile to see if had some how got away with it :-) Then saw your "no blind friends invites check mods first" so got interested in what mods you made. Then saw ISY Inventory manager listed under you. So for second honestly thought you stolen the mods! So was checking to let ISY know... and of course saw your name on inventory manager lol
yup, been helping isy ever since i bought the game and found his amazing scripts, worked my way up and now i'm going from mod to mod trying to find / report bugs and helping where i can

are you planning to fix the multiplayer issues?
for me mainly i have the issue that i cant press the number buttons on the elevator controller. the number screen acts like a big screen button and not like a individual button for each number.
if you need help setting up a local server for testing i would gladly help you.

It just takes time and trial and error :-) I have worked on some function for week or longer. I once made a folding auto drill setup. Took weeks to get it working properly. But it did in end :-) Dont forget you can watch videos for ideas or download blueprints to see how some thing worked for some one else.

I'm not the original author of this mod. We can build a cargo elevator as large and as tall as we want with pistons and armor blocks.

aaaaah, just noticed you made this larger scale one, mmmm still need an even bigger one though and at best modular, so you have corder and side pieces and then a modular elevator

@Derp123:The air vent block is in the non-cargo version of this elevator mod. This thing is wide open on all 6 sides. It's not possible for it to be air tight unless we build an airtight room around it and make sure inside doors to the building are closed before the outside door for this elevator is open.

Everything works well, exempting the door airtightness. Has this been redacted? I've found your comment of using the vent that comes with the mod, but It is not present? Do you mean the Air vent from VCZ Elevator, and if so, How?

All good no worries. Its a very niche use so figured if it was to be done, it would be on back burner anyway :-) I can always make own in game ones. Just I liked look of ones you got better.

Also what game were we player before? Havent played together in while and brain is.. fried lol Hunting game wasnt it?

@dragonphotoworks: This mod's size is limited by it's framing. We can build a custom cargo elevator with pistons any size we want. I'm working on something similar to this the platform can be made a custom but limited size. I'm in no hurry to finish it though because:

1. I'm not currently playing this game often.
2. I don't have a need for a huge cargo elevator in any of my games. My rovers drive up ramps into where I park them and my ships stay docked on their own dedicated connectors.
3. I want it done very well when I do complete it. I don't want to have to update it frequently changing this or that. Once and done, right the first time, and only have to update it when the game breaks it.

This would be perfect but sadly too small for me :-( A 12 x 12 or 12 x 24 platform hard to make I am guessing. But then again not many people build crazy like I do :-) Otherwise this is a awesome mod!

@Grog: It needed several code changes to get it working. The personnel version I've posted does just make it work again in old game saves. I assume this will do the same.

Did you changed more than the "IsPowerAvailable" script issue ?
If there is VCZ version on a grid, will this version replace it or do I have to rebuild and save blueprint?

@Clutch_Turbo: I don't know for sure because I haven't dug in the files to look. I assume it's either missing or outdated server code (possibly both). I don't have much interest in this mod due to its limits. I plan to make a new one the elevator platform can be made a limited but reasonable custom size so it's actually useful for moving vehicles between multiple floors.

This is a great mod but it's useless because vehicles don't fit on it. I brought it back to life due to requests.

Anyone is welcome to update it, the original author doesn't seem to mind. If someone does make it work in multiplayer and publishes it instead of sharing the fix so I can include it I'll link what they've published in the description.

@Cythisia: That would be absolutely useless. The elevator can be a maximum of 200 blocks high with 9 floors which is a height of 500m. You want a piston to go 500m?!?!?! Or limit it so if we have 9 floors we have to use multiple pistons? We'd have to use an Elevator Piston Block for every floor???

What do you mean a "light running server version"?
Does it not work on multiplayer servers? Another comment has said it does. If you're having issues explain what the issue is please.

I looked at that script. It was last updated in 2015. Its age alone says "don't use it".
We can use automaton blocks or sensors, as I mentioned, to control doors and keep things pressurized.

Whip's a great author. Nothing against his scripts however I've experienced his scripts conflict with others. If all doors are exempt do without that script. It's still reading the door which is allowing that script to effect it. We can make auto doors easily with a sensor. Don't need a script for that.

I am running a few other scripts and the non-cargo elevator (which works flawlessly) Scripts I am running are Isy's Solar Alignment, Inventory Manager, Whips Autro doors (all doors are exempted), Turret Radar, and Isy's Cargobars.

I love the mod. I use it for a small aircraft elevator for my scout ship and drones to put them below the flight deck like an aircraft carrier. Larger elevator would be nicer though. I am using it on a MP server and the call buttons on the levels work just fine but the buttons on the elevator itself quit working after a while. So, you have to run to the level to activate the elevator. That is the only problem I have found with the mod. Again, thank you for your time making it work!!

@train06boy: Maximum of 9 floors no more than 200 blocks. These limits were probably included by the original author so people didn't overwhelm PCU limits with it.

im trying to make a space elevator out of this and it cant seem to go more than 170 regular blocks up and it will not do multiple Flores
