@Thrice glad to hear you like the mod! Currently there are no differences between this mod (ESAP delta dev branch) and the main ESAP mod, there are no bug reports at all so there has been no need for bug fixing, additionally I haven't done any content updates just maintenance updates. The mod is quite complete but there is room for some interesting flavor swaps and a few other perks that I'm planning to do, which means that any upcoming features would be uploaded here first and then to the main mod if everything seems fine.

Just curious, is there a list of differences between this and the main mod? Sorry if my question is answered elsewhere, Im bad at searching. Big fan of your mods btw!

I think Temudgjin means that currently individualist machine empires cannot select the Synthetic Age ascension perk at all, so cannot pursue their ascension at all (havent tested with gestalts as of writing this)

@Temudgjin Wolfe Yea, right now AP "A thought in the circuit" works as long as you pick AP Flesh is weak, I'm planning to expand on that but I want to play around with the DLC a bit more before I add more stuff to ascension paths.

Mod updated! Also, please note that Planetary Diversity made a major overhaul for version 3.12, even though that is not that relevant for this mod, it could be relevant for you depending on your mod list.

@Horror-TV I see, I remember that there are special origins on some PD submods like techno-organics but I have no idea if the same thing would happen to the cyborg tree for example. In any case, I'm glad the issue kinda sorted itself out.

@ArutamSartek In fact, everything turned out to be much simpler than I thought... It's all about translating the mod Planetary Diversity - Shroud Worlds namely the translation of the origin itself. I didn't have all the information about this, and when I found out from the mod creator PD he informed me that there is no path to aspiration bonus in this psionic origin - Mind over Matter. I can only take the psionics tradition tree. Anyway, i apologize for my mistake...

@Horror-TV On really old ESAP that used to be an issue depending on which mods overlap Flesh is Weak, Mind over matter or Engineered evolution, However with this version and any upcoming patch there is no such issue, specifically because there is no need to change Ascension Paths with this mod anymore.

My advice would be to check mods that change the same perks, I do that manually (by checking any mod that has an ascension perk folder) but if you are not used to that, just use Irony Mod manager.

Hello. I have a problem, I don't see the 3 main bonuses for aspirations namely: Engineered Evolution, The Flesh is Weak and Mind over Matter. I spent a lot of time studying this problem. At the beginning, I simply could not take the Tradition tree - psionics. I used Psionics through a mod - Planetary Diversity - Shroud Worlds. Going through all the mods that I have one by one, I settled on - Expanded Espionage and Diplomacy. But then I solved the problem that I couldn't take the Psionic Tradition tree. I simply rearranged the mods in the list by installing the mod - Expanded Espionage and Diplomacy above mods - PD. However, I soon saw that there were still no bonuses for Ascension, namely: Engineered Evolution, The Flesh is Weak and Mind over Matter. I want to know if anyone else here has had such problems ? Perhaps this is a problem with your mod ?

make it the Dev/beta test branch of the mod. that way you can test anything with others before sending it live on the main mod.

@Everyone I have moved discussion topics to the main mod since I was able to update it, even though I'm a collaborator, it seems that not only the main owner can upload files.

What should I do with this branch? Maybe I should eventually close the mod page or make it a dev/beta branch just like UAP does.

@Nitsah Even though there were some vanilla economic categories that changed and were added between 3.10 to 3.11, I suspect that it should be fine, but I can't guarantee it 100%

@everyone I'm working on 3.11 updates for this mod as well as other mods that I own. In any case, it seems that this mod is still functional according to a friend.

@chimaeraUndying The reasons why Ultimate and Perfect Ascension are not in this mod: Compatibility wise there could be certain mods that would conflict, high mod maintenance, 95% of bug reports would be related to ascension paths instead of ascension perks added by this mod (which makes it impossible to fine tune under-performing perks and other stuff), a lot of vanilla events/traits have to be changed, there is no middle ground for balance since it depends on power fantasies, AI can't use multiple paths properly and lastly I can think of three other mods that accomplish something akin to Perfect Ascension but because they focus solely on that objective, all of the events, interactions, and other elements are more polished.

Even after stating all of this, it could still be done but not by me since I would rather focus on other areas. Despite the fact that these paths are connected to ascension perks, they ought to be viewed as an add-on rather than a component of the primary mod.

Is axing Ultimate Ascension and Perfect Ascension a balance issue or a game function one? (i.e. if I get a bit cheeky and port them back in from the unmaintained version or just hack the prereqs for the normal Ascension perks, will things break horribly?)

@Big KIng Jetski I've noticed that could happen prior to ESAP 3.7, because there was an extra colony ship that created a different set of subspecies after establishing a colony, now that is no longer the case since that particular perk, namely "Settlers of the Galaxy" increases the amount of pops per ship (and other useful stuff) rather than duplicating a colony ship. My guess is you have an issue with Xeno-compatibility or is caused by a different mod.

@FlareTheSlayer As much as I love Girion's traditions mod, it needs some maintenance , in the mean time I know Tidy Traditions is a good alternative or the relatively new "More Traditions", links below:

Girion's other mod, the one about traditions, isn't updated anymore, and the one that currently is being managed by MrWacko isn't stable. Do you have any reccomendations for an alternative traditions mod?

Is there a perk in this one that causes your species to produce a new subspecies for the planet that they spawn on with that habitability preference? I know I read a perk or tradition or something that did that and now I have like 100 subspecies but I can't figure out where its coming from

@Finagle's Revenge I'm glad you are using the mod! I know that there has been some significant changes to Stellaris and therefore to this mod. Creating a guide for the mod is actually a good idea since all the perks have synergies and strategies for different situations, in the meantime you could go to the pinned Discussion called "Ascension Perk List (WIP)".

Regarding, Ult/Perf Ascension, even though I also enjoyed that feature in older versions of Stellaris, me and Girion decided to not touch Bio-psy-cyber merges since 3.7 if I'm not mistaken. Hopefully you continue to use the mod even without that feature, which is tackled by other mods already.

Hello! Firstly, appreciate you're keeping this mod alive. The last time I played Stellaris, Nemesis had just come out so I am finally back into the game. And ESAP was on my todo list of mods. However, with all the changes and DLCs etc, I was wondering if there was perhaps a guide or something for ESAP. Or if it even still includes things like Ult/Perf Ascension since that was a big deal for me since I enjoyed the combination of the perks.

So could someone maybe point a returning brother out? Thanks in advance!

@Magistorikus I haven't been able to reply. Now regarding this matter, well first of all I don't think there is any need to delete the message chain, actually it is better to leave it as it is so more players are aware of that vanilla bug.

@ArutamSartek After additional testing, I believe this is due to mod conflict. I am still testing but your mod is not the cause of the issue by itself. Your mod only grants the Civic Point. Some other mod is causing the hive nodes to break after using that Civic point. I will keep testing but I do not believe this mod is at fault.

@ArutamSartek unfortunately it was and I had already deleted it. I can try to replicate it tomorrow without Ironman. I just need to get to the first Ascension perk point and wait till the 10 year mark, so should be easy enough. How do you want me to send you the save file and the mod list?

@Magistorikus that is an interesting occurrence, however, checking the logs folder the modifier -- country_government_civic_points_add, Category: Countries -- is the only one that adds civic points (that is the exact modifier I use for that perk). If you can send me the save (hopefully it wasn't Ironman mode) and your list of mods I would appreciate it.

As it stands right now if civic points are the source of the problem (maybe they are not meant to be added from Ascension Perks), replacing or erasing the effect could be a potential solution.

More testing is required, I appreciate the report.

Warning for 3.10.* Hive Mind users. This mod adds the Ascension Perk "The Ascendant Hive" which grants +1 Civic Points.

When you reform your government to select your new Civic Point, the reformation process "dismisses" all of your nodes. You can't "hire" new nodes and your hive is effectively neutered. Just lost a 6+ hour game to this and wanted to warn other users.

Other than that issue, so far I love this mod. I hope the mod author can fix this issue.

I know this maybe asking too much, but since Girion does not plan to update the Expanded Stellaris Traditions until spring and you have a combine patch, do you think you could create a temporary patch for the mod? He did give permission to do so and would provide a link on page.
