@bof: Depends on whether you mean old AT or ATR legacy. You're outta luck with the former, but I have guide on the discussion page of ATR on how to upgrade your save from ATR to MH.

If that's too difficult for you, you can send me your save on Discord, and I'll see what I can do.

so i was playing with the legacy android mod that links to this mod collection, will i be able to continue my save if i replace the old android tiers with mechanical humanlikes? or do i have to start ALLLL over :(

@Kal Skirata: It's a meme from our Discord. Praise the TORT! Also, turtles are excellent for transport if you think about it. Lots of internal storage space, slow, but steady movement, a hard shell to protect its insides.

Colant injection for TORT seems to do nothing

@Pumpkin: Chem units eat meat and corpses only. TORT and Watchdog can charge and the Mineral Unit can eat whatever, so all you need to give them are raiders' remains and a wireless charger. (Charger is optional, but more efficient for those who can use it.)

Lube and Coolant are replenished automatically if available, unless you have a mod conflict.

i just have problem to keep alive my robo animals ....
they do eat different type of food . I produce kibble but nutrition units dont wanna eat it so im producing pemcan too . i got plenty of nutrient blocks but they dont wanna eat that , same with solution is only rotting away in storage .
What is best food for my animals ?
also is there way to make injecting coolant for nutrition units automatic ?

@Arkham4ever: Use a regular animal sleeping spot, set it to medical and enable mechanical life under the new restrictions gizmo, as @Gavin did.

Hello, I am having exactly the same problem that Arkham4ever had as well. My two Watchdog units collapsed and no matter what I build I cannot rescue them. I have tried billing procedure to inject coolant and lubricant but it just says "Patient not ready for operation" when I right click them.

Hello there! I absolutely love this mod but it seems i cant repair the watchdog unit whatsoever. it seems that there´s no place to lay them down to although i placed multiple spots where they should be laid down in order to repair them :/

@lepoop: Only the TORT and Watchdog can charge. The others eat food.

@Ahbeh: They only eat meat now. (there already exists a mod to reverse that btw.)

@Kane [ESP]: When they need coolant all androids will take it, as long as they have access to it. If it runs out, you can administer it as a surgery.

I personally disagree with the carnivore change for chemical units myself so made this: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3033124676

I probably wouldn't of publicly released this at all due to how simple it was to make if it wasn't for the slightly passive aggressive change note. Figured instead of players complaining about the change they can just use this instead to revert it back to the original chem unit diet.

Just had one of my chickens get hit by the flu. I checked my options and the Chemical Processing Unit is listed as being a mechanical animal.

However - I did see that Flu is not listed under the Blacklisted Mechanical Hediffs. In fact, that entire Blacklist is blank. So, I've added it in. Is that list supposed to be blank?

Mechanical animals should indeed be immune to all diseases and should never be selected for *vanilla* disease events. Mods may ignore the checks, and it may be possible that your MHC mod settings aren't flagging them as mechanical and allowing them to get the disease as a result. Should check those things and make sure neither of them is the issue.

quick question @killathon, aren't the robot chickens supposed to be immune to disease because they're well robots? just had about a dozen chickens come down with a plague

The risk directly correlates to how much ATR content is in the save like factions and SkyMind material, as well as items. It’s unlikely to completely brick a save by itself according to others, but your mileage may vary on how well it goes.

Quick question, though I will try to test it myself in just a little bit to see how it works

I wanted to move from Android Tiers Reforged to the MH version and only taking certain parts

I was wondering if I was on an ongoing save, if it would be safe to try that, most likely cause some issues, or collapse the save if I did

@Killathon I do have a mechanical bed they still did not allow me to bed them in a safe spot thought I'd just now realize they were locked in a zone

Apologies, I missed these messages for some reason. For the sake of sanity, I do my debugging and related activities on Discord and not through steam as I just really can't stand how steam forums work for those kinds of things. If you don't mind, please consider joining the server and raising it again, trying to fix things on steam alone is a huge headache.

MH introduces the restriction command on all sleeping spots - including animal ones - which defaults to only allowing organic creatures if it's not a charging pod. Make sure your spots are configured to allow mechanical animals! (And consider giving your mechanical units access to coolant, they'll consume it on their own when they need to if they can reach it)

I have a very strange error: trade caravans and tribute collectors do not spawn on certain biomes as long as this mod is enabled. The ONLY caravans I was able to spawn were from the Android Faction. And those came with their TORT units as pack animals as they should.

Currently I have diffent biome mods enabled. Alpha Biomes, More Vanilla Biomes, and some biome overhauls from the ReGrowth collection.

Tried to spawn caravans via the devtools, and it worked in temperate biome (from vanilla) and alpine meadows (from More Vanilla Biomes), but the error down below occurred on boreal forest (from vanilla) and glacial shield (from More Vanilla Biomes).

Maybe it has something to do with the TORT unit being added as caravan pack animal? But I see no logic or pattern behind this.

The game throws the following error:

@giggles9909 They do use animal sleeping spots, but you need to allow them via the new restrictions gizmo. They are considered Drones.

Yep. Someone confirmed a few days ago this is safe to add. SkyMind should be similarly safe as it adds nothing that needs to exist at game start.

Is it OK to add this and skymind mid game? I already have the military, main core and androids on since making the game.
