wow

If I remember correctly, this is the only chamber with 'reflection gel'. It's from beemod and it's a bit glitchly. That's why I never used it again.

Thanks for testing.

A lot of walking and going back and forth, but I liked the final laser arrangement.

Great puzzle with some innovative moves.

Ha! I've just visited your workshop to subscribe to some of your maps and noticed that you've done remakes of puzzles by Brave! Including a Hammer remake! You should be right at home, then, with the map of mine that I gave you a link to.
Andi  [author] 13 Dec, 2017 @ 8:19pm
I'm GLaD you liked it, Thanks for playing.

Sure, I'll give your maps a shot.

Very enjoyable medium-difficulty map, thumbs up. The lighting was good, there was the right amount of space and a good mixture of fun flings and interesting puzzles. The practice chamber at the start was a good idea for people not familiar with reflection gel.

If you like the idea of practice chambers, there are five of them in my Hammer map :
http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=249267981 . The main puzzle is very hard, so please don't give it thumbs down just for that. If you visit the observation rooms and play each of the practice chambers you should be able to figure out the main puzzle. The bonus companion cube is in plain sight from the main chamber, but then you have to figure out how to get it!

Sure.

Cool..& Thank You...I did not know that.
Andi  [author] 2 Feb, 2015 @ 10:25pm
That's not "white get", that is "reflective gel". I can bounce a laser off of it.
scjay 2 Feb, 2015 @ 7:23pm
Tried to play this map but the "white gel" is not letting me create a portal...is that intended? (First room) on the wall by laser recepticle
Andi  [author] 2 Oct, 2014 @ 11:35am
Thanks for playing.

The last panel.... that was not intended but if it works...
Talisac 2 Oct, 2014 @ 6:08am
Nice one, quite easy but well thought. Encountered a little bug, with square pannel remaining open even without cube on button (had to press buton again to reset it).

I'm not sure about the last flip-pannel jump: I bumped twice on blue gel (because twice get you a bit higher than once) and felt into portal under orange-gel-dispenser. Bouncing only once wasn't enough, so I'm not sure it was the intended way .

Very inventive chamber, where some work is to do...also I liked the design.

Thank you.
Thatassthat 5 Aug, 2014 @ 12:09pm
Ah thanks I realise now, that makes a lot of sense. Again, brilliant test, very ingenious ideas. Keep it up.
Andi  [author] 5 Aug, 2014 @ 12:05pm
Gotcha. If you stand on the cube, you can see the portalable walls in the main hallway. If you don't have the cube, place a portal high as you can (facing the hallway) and put the opposite portal at ground level. Go half-through the portal and you can place another portal in the hallway. I hope I explained it well enough.
Thatassthat 5 Aug, 2014 @ 11:53am
@Andi If you look at the image above, I got trapped just underneath where the deadly goo is on the right, in the hole with the cube button that turns around the flip panel.
Andi  [author] 5 Aug, 2014 @ 10:42am
Thanks for the feedback, I'm GLaD you liked it.

@neeko The is no way to get the companion cube, I hide one in every map I make.

@bradleybattamsscot Where did you get trapped? I take great care to make sure the player can't become trapped.
Thatassthat 5 Aug, 2014 @ 7:11am
Very challenging test very good! I did get trapped in the bottom right of the test when looking at the image above, but I probably couldn't find a way out because of my incompetence, so I had to restart. Other than that, great job!
neeko 4 Aug, 2014 @ 10:01pm
An enjoyable and interesting puzzle. That reflection gel is awesome! I gotta check that out. I admire the overall level structure alot, there didn't seem to be an area where either me or the cube could get stuck - good on you for that. The laser catcher at bottom near that companion cube buttom didn't really seem to do anything as there didn't seem to be any way to retrieve the companion cube nor did the level seem to require it. The pacing felt a little off going from that first room to the second. I think the way you introduce the reflection gel is really interesting (as this is my first time playing a puzzle that uses it), but it spikes in difficulty between the first and second room quite a bit. For me personally I probably would've enjoyed it more if the map utilized autosaves and translated the concepts of the second room across three or four rooms. Enjoyable though, keep it up!

Very nice test ! Good job :)
TS_Mind_Swept 4 Aug, 2014 @ 4:06pm
I agree with G-Poquet, it had it's moments, but it was all do-able and very good. A few times i thought I saw some places that ppl might get trapped, but then I found a reasonable way out so there's no risk of trapping in this one either. Couldn't find any cheats, so that's good as well. There was one part where the antline ziged around the corner and i though it was commected to multiple things, I nocliped around only to find that it was just sitting there like a tard. (I also took a screenshot of it) A light strip right on the corner would probably fix that. My only other problem with it is it's size, it's huge and it doesn't seem to need to be (I'm not a fan of ginourmous tests, or spaces; I have Agoraphobia which is a fear of large, open spaces :s). Oh yes, and i didn't see the darned cube either. :p 8/10

It was pretty fun, thumbs up!
The puzzle is well thought, especially the last part.
I have just published a new test 'if you have time' :

i don't see one, but i just saw another link for this one on a different map. :p

I thought I sent you a link, didn't I?
TS_Mind_Swept 4 Aug, 2014 @ 12:37pm
Saw a link for this map on another. I'll give it a try. :D

Thank you very much, I'm happy you liked it.
Honest_Cake 4 Aug, 2014 @ 8:19am
Wow, this test is brilliant! Every step took logical thinking to solve, and the first small chamber a perfect intro to what was to come. Concerning the reflection gel, I'm happy with how it was used here, compared to other maps where you have to smother the test chamber in gel and put your cube just so for it to work. My favorite part was probably the ending, which required a little bit of tricky portal placement so that you could get yourself and the cubes where they needed to be. Awesome job! *Favorite*
Andi  [author] 3 Aug, 2014 @ 2:23pm
Thanks to everyone who tested this chamber. I made some modications that force the player to use the funnel, also the room with the reflection gel is much smaller.

@Brave You exited as intended, Thanks.
stormsend 3 Aug, 2014 @ 1:44pm
This one took me a while to solve. It wasn't confusing to me but I did do a lot of head scratching trying to figure out the steps. I wanted more blue gel at first, Then I discovered it was just right. Same with the reflection gel. Just right. I'm no good at flying so I struggled in a couple places. You know where. So happy when I saw the exit strategy and could see me doing it. I thank you for a great map. Excellent use of elements. No exploits. Favorite.
Brave 2 Aug, 2014 @ 12:45pm
Picture of how I exited. Seems like I made used of everything but the tractor beam! I'm not sure why the large room down below with the reflection gel and tractor beam, cause I never use the tractor beam, and why is the room on the large side, seems like it could be much smaller?! Anyways it was a fun map to solved... good job Andi!

A little Bit of Confusion Sometimes but, it's pretty good! :)
Requiemsoul 1 Aug, 2014 @ 5:51pm
Excellent puzzle as allways, Andi. Your latest puzzle was a long time ago xD. A question. is the funnel useful?. I like the task to find out the CC.
