Thanks, I'll look into it.

red error spam and inability to draw the ui for numbers tabs with a column to select meds to use (default colonist tab). Could also be in combination with rimThemes.
I have switched to pharmacist by now so i have not done any in depth testing.

The quality of medicine used for surgery cannot be set in the "Default medicine settings"?
Lurmey 25 Feb, 2023 @ 11:29am
Nah I'm not asking anyone to do it lol. I also don't mean using herbal meds in place of the industrial medicine for the anesthetise surgery bill. The bills would stay the same. It's just irritating when you want to anaesthetise a dog but the default surgery medicine is set to glitterworld, so they grab your last glitterworld meds to put the dog into cryptosleep instead of using the abundant industrial meds.

If the surgeries just used the medicine that is listed in the bill, that would even be an improvement haha

And just to be clear - simply setting the default down to industrial for surgeries (using this mod, Pharmacist, or just disabling "use best" in vanilla) isn't really a solution, as then they will never perform surgeries that require glitterworld.
Kathanon  [author] 18 Feb, 2023 @ 3:08pm
Not sure I can do that easily. The anestethic is baked into the medicine cost for the surgery. It is possible, but would be more invasive and much more prone to mod incompatibilities.
Lurmey 18 Feb, 2023 @ 12:41pm
I wasn't asking if it was compatible with Pharmacist. I was saying it would be great to be able to define which types of surgery use which meds. Anaesthetise for instance doesn't need glitterworld meds. Pharmacist doesn't do this.

@Kathanon That is a bummer. I appreciate you taking the time to look into that though.
Kathanon  [author] 16 Feb, 2023 @ 3:41pm
@PearOn
I looked at the new meds added by the mods. Adding new categories for them would require completely replacing the games code for that. Seems like a lot more work and a lot more potential for bugs than it's worth.
PearificPear 6 Feb, 2023 @ 5:20am
@Kathanon @Lurmey Have been using this with Pharmacist for a while now, not seen anything that indicates any incompatibilities.
Kathanon  [author] 4 Feb, 2023 @ 2:30pm
I'd expect it to be compatible with Pharmacist.
Lurmey 4 Feb, 2023 @ 12:02pm
Hell yes, thank you for making this. Now if only we had Pharmacist-style specifics so colonists don't use glitterworld medicine as anaesthetic! :D

Any that adds modded medicines I'd presume, a few I personally tend to use is;
Apothecary (Continued)
Obsidia Expansion
Basic Medicine

Medieval Medicines would probably do as well

@PearOn
What mods other than Medicine Mod Patch would I need to test it?
Alexander The Great 3 Feb, 2023 @ 7:27am
@PearOn
it's just likely that this mod is not made for modded meds

it just has specific programming for the vanilla meds, and others are just not in there

it'll require manual extra mod compatability to make it

hope the dev can do that for you :)
Rinzler0001 1 Feb, 2023 @ 7:04am
@PearOn, thank you, very much!
PearificPear 1 Feb, 2023 @ 3:44am
@Kathanon @Rinzler0001 Added this to my 500ish modlist mid save, running Pharmacist, Smart Medicine and Medicine Mod Patch (All mods I can't think of affecting medicines in any way, except the adding of actual medicines). Seems to be working great!

Only thing I found is that when setting the surgery medicine you can't choose between the modded medicines, as you can with the tending options when using Medicine Mod Patch.

If possible, could a patch be made for the use of Medicine Mod Patch*? I believe these would work great in tandem, especially with mods that go above Glitterworld Medicine and medicines that add tiers between Herbal Medicine and Industrial Medicine. (For example Argon's Tribal Medicines 2.0 that will be released soon, Apothecary and Obsidia.)

*Setting Surgery with High Tier Herbal Medicine, and tending with regular Herbal Medicine.
Rinzler0001 31 Jan, 2023 @ 4:49pm
@PearOn, how did the testing go??
PearificPear 31 Jan, 2023 @ 6:55am
@Kathanon I'll give it a go and see. If nothing else would be great for the pawns kept just for.. *cough* torture. Surgery with herbal, tend with nothing.
Kathanon  [author] 30 Jan, 2023 @ 10:59pm
@PearOn
Not sure, why don't you try and see? It's safe to add and remove. (I'll add that to the description.)

@JOЯDAИ
You're welcome. :)
PearificPear 30 Jan, 2023 @ 7:54pm
How does it work with Pharmacist/Smart Medicine?
JOЯDΛИ 30 Jan, 2023 @ 4:47pm
Thank you, so much time saved.
