good mod!
Aleczaender 15 May @ 7:46pm
@The_Schwarz Yes
Raatha 14 May @ 9:27pm
I had previously downloaded them from Nexus, but deleted those folders when I saw I could get them from the Steam workshop. So those module folders have been deleted already.

I tried deleted those Steam folders and resubscribing, but nothing changed. I still have the issue.

Also, I check my documents and there is no ModSettings folder in the Config folder. It's empty other than a "LauncherData" and "NewsFeedConfig" file.

I feel like I'm probably missing something simple at this point, but I'm scratching my head because I've tried deleting everything from everywhere I can think and trying again, but I still can't select the mods in the modlist.

@Raatha - did you previously use nexus mods manual installation? If so remove DP and XL from the modules folder of the game installation directory.
If you have similar mods / previous versions in the modules folder they take priority over mods loaded via workshop.

When using workshop the mods gets saved in a different location.
DP: X:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\261550\2875093027
XL: X:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\261550\2875138158

if that doesn't do it.. Try removing DP and XL folders from this path ...
it will reset the mods stored settings.

Yes, on 1.2.9.38256, I have the BUTR stack, then main files, then RBM, then Xoberax's Legacy and Dismemberment Plus. Everything is working except XL and DP
The_Schwarz  [author] 14 May @ 7:32pm
@Raatha - load order? Is your game version up to date?
The_Schwarz  [author] 14 May @ 7:29pm
@Aleczaender - guessing you are also using a Overhaul mod that implements not native armors?
Raatha 14 May @ 4:17pm
i can't select this mod in the modlist. the .dll is unblocked. what's the issue?
Aleczaender 14 May @ 3:44pm
Having an issue where after I dismember people they become naked.
The_Schwarz  [author] 13 May @ 11:12am
@βΛβ'乙 -

when using Steam Workshop version without BUTR Stack mods the .json file is created in the steam workshop sub directories.
X:XXXXXXSteamsteamappsworkshopcontent2615502875093027
"X:XXXXXX" is where you have your local steam client installed

when using Nexus Manual installation into Modules folder without BUTR Stack mods the .json file is created in the gamemodulesmod subdirectory.
X:XXXXXXSteamsteamappscommonMount & Blade II BannerlordModules
"X:XXXXXX" is where you have your game installed.

when using Dismemberment Plus (Steam Workshop or NexusMods Manual installation into Modules folder) with BUTR Stack mods the .json file is created in the steam workshop sub directories.
C:\Users\XXXXX\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Configs\ModSettings\Global\DismembermentPlus
"XXXXX" is your user name
The_Schwarz  [author] 13 May @ 11:01am
@TakaStriker - no i did not even attempt to write code required to handle that level world persistence. I thought about different issues you would need to account for but never left hypothetical drawing board.
βΛβ'乙 13 May @ 10:18am
Json file is not created with steam workshop even when putting the mods in modules
TakaStriker 13 May @ 5:58am
Is it possible to dismember an opponent and have him stay alive, like cutting off his hands and losing the ability to use a sword and shield together?
The_Schwarz  [author] 10 May @ 1:24pm
@lunarman8 - its a option.. you can disable it or reduce the frequency
lunarman8 10 May @ 12:56pm
why is it every time i dismember a soldier it goes in slow-mo
The_Schwarz  [author] 1 May @ 7:04pm
@Cherenkov - "On launch make sure the mod is positioned under the main game modules (Native, SandboxCore, CustomBattle, Sandbox, & Storymode)."
His question was saying he couldn't place it above the mods and instructions didn't say to do that either.
Cherenkov 1 May @ 12:06pm
@The_Schwarz thanks to replying to the guy regarding the load order, but be aware that your installation instructions ask us to place the mod under native, which you yourself acknowledge is not possible. nothing major, but something to fix to avoid confusion
The_Schwarz  [author] 29 Apr @ 12:38pm
@WirusFR - you can't it needs to be loaded after main game modules
balikesirdoseme 29 Apr @ 12:34pm
dont let me to pull the mod above the*native* how can i fix that?
✢Smak 23 Apr @ 6:03am
Does this work with Europe 1100?
Kiriona 22 Apr @ 8:10am
oh okay. Thank you. I kept getting the message and assumed it wasn't working. Much appreciated!
The_Schwarz  [author] 22 Apr @ 6:59am
@Call Me Mommy - that is not an error so much as the standard return message when the attack fails the required logic to achieve a dismemberment.

Hit a rock = [DEBUG]: Tried to add a dismemberment to Dismemberment Queue, but it failed attack logic.
Hit a horse = [DEBUG]: Tried to add a dismemberment to Dismemberment Queue, but it failed attack logic.
To weak of an attack, using a mace or non cutting weapon = = [DEBUG]: Tried to add a dismemberment to Dismemberment Queue, but it failed attack logic.

You can disable that message in the options. Its mostly for me
Kiriona 21 Apr @ 4:46pm
Hello. I'm having an error that I haven't seen mentioned in the discussions or comments. The error message reads "[DEBUG]: Tried to add a dismemberment to Dismemberment Queue, but it failed attack logic." The mod load order is the same as the discussion thread. I can't figure out what the issue is.
Jeager Blackhand 9 Apr @ 7:27am
After unloading and reloading it multiple times I haven’t had a problem since, may have been a base game issue
The_Schwarz  [author] 8 Apr @ 3:02pm
@Jeager Blackhand - can you explain the nature of the crash?
By default dismemberment is disabled in tournaments as they are designed to be kill free zones.
Jeager Blackhand 8 Apr @ 2:37pm
This is the only mod i play with and somehow it is causing crashes when i join tournaments
The_Schwarz  [author] 4 Apr @ 5:53am
@GALI - Menu system if using Mod Configuration Menu, or edit the json settings file file that is created to set slow motion to off or reduce frequency
GALI 4 Apr @ 3:45am
Is there a way to disable slow motion?
The_Schwarz  [author] 3 Apr @ 5:42am
@ZigZag McKRyak - yes
Golf Enjoyer 2 Apr @ 8:53pm
@The_Schwarz - The realistic battle mod (RBM)
The_Schwarz  [author] 2 Apr @ 12:29pm
@ZigZag McKRyak - not sure what you mean?
Golf Enjoyer 2 Apr @ 12:02pm
Is it compatible with realistic mode?
The_Schwarz  [author] 2 Apr @ 5:28am
@Rosenkreutz - did you ever use the manually installed NexusMods version?
Rosenkreutz 2 Apr @ 3:43am
I am having problem with the error screen saying "file read failed! please try to verify your installation!" I am subscribing BUTR stack and just put this mode right under the main modules. Is there anything I should do else?
The_Schwarz  [author] 1 Apr @ 4:21am
@ZERB - If you used the manual version NexusMods that is why there are elements in MyDocuments. That version should be removed if using steam workshop.

Workshop files are stored and managed in steam app installation directory/ location
ZERB 1 Apr @ 12:25am
Thank you, great mod indeed. But after subscribing directly on Steam, the mod files appear in the Documents folder instead of the 'modules' folder within the game directory. Do I need to manually move them over?
The_Schwarz  [author] 31 Mar @ 2:27pm
@lucasking152 - yes
lucasking152 31 Mar @ 2:14pm
Does this mod work with rbm?
The_Schwarz  [author] 30 Mar @ 6:25am
@BigT - need to installed MCM and other support mods for game menu sliders
BigT 29 Mar @ 11:15pm
Hello, great mod. How do you access the sliders to adjust the mod? Thanks!
Evan 28 Mar @ 7:52am
No rush, just pointing it out. This mod is crazy
The_Schwarz  [author] 28 Mar @ 7:17am
@Even - Apparently something I changed in the source broke visuals with non native armor sets.
I am investigating. What happened.

Want to make sure that whatever fix I arrive at retains the corrections I made in this version but restores visuals for mods with non native armors.
Evan 28 Mar @ 3:33am
Using this with Realms of Thrones, works fine and no crashes but sometimes units go naked when you dismember them? is there a way to fix this or not? Awesome mod and should have been in the game..
The_Schwarz  [author] 27 Mar @ 10:49am
@msantoso27 - I don't know what bloodlust is exactly? Everything else I don't think would/should cause conflict
Enma 27 Mar @ 9:43am
i have these mods installed in 1.2.9:
- artems lively
- bloodlust
- Bodyguards
- Cinematic combat
- diplomacy
- dismember
- Governor handle issue
- heal on kill
- realistic weather
- xorberax
- rbm

anything that might impact?
The_Schwarz  [author] 27 Mar @ 9:30am
@msantoso27 - not that I am aware of. in testing the two worked fine together
Enma 27 Mar @ 9:28am
hi thanks for prompt response. you are the man bro! btw , it is not during animation. even when animation is not triggered yet, i don't see any dismemberment.

so basically:

1. it is compatible between the 2 mods? except during animation, correct?
2. any chance due to other mods? or loading order?

cheers
The_Schwarz  [author] 27 Mar @ 9:10am
@msantoso27 - if you are in the middle of a animation triggered by Cinematic Combat dismemberment won't exist as part of that animation.

Dismemberment should still trigger depending on what you set your Cinematic thresholds at
Enma 27 Mar @ 9:02am
somehow it doesnt work anymore after installing cinematic combat mod. any idea? cheers
The_Schwarz  [author] 24 Mar @ 9:21am
@BambuStuff - when you subscribe to mods via workshop the file is not save in the Modules Folder of the game. its saved in the workshop sub-directories of your steam installation
