Wait for sale. Period.

Coming from a guy who spent over 600 hrs in this game, most people can enjoy it for about 100 hrs. Early and mid game are very fun, but there is literally no late game. In fact, a lot of the mechanics TaleWorlds put in, such as lord re-spawns, peace offerings, raiding, actively makes a non-existent late game worse. TaleWorlds have all but abandoned the game. The new features they are adding are more about spectacle rather than actually solving the lack of late game content.

It´s Mount and Blade Warband with better graphics, less features and less to do an that makes me sad. I really enjoy the battles and the sieges and building a big army. But once you in the mid-endgame there is just nothing to do. You wait till you can start a new war, capture a few settlements and than you go back to waiting. The developers havent released new content in years (all they do are bug fixes and minor changes) and they are not communicating with the community. I guess they abandoned the game and develop something new to make more money. If you want to play it, buy it at a discount but its not worth full price.

Disappointing. a lot of mechanics they promised/said would be in the game but in reality there's MAYBE one minor content update every... 6? months or so and then they pat themselves on the back as if they made a whole new game. other than that its just community updates and relying on mods to make the game fresh. good foundation, sloth developers.

Very buggy, lacking meaningful choices & diplomacy. In the end just a repackaged poor remake of the original but in worse condition.

The game isn't really finished. The combat doesn't feel satisfying - there are much better directional blocking systems. The strategy is boring, TW did it a lot better. And the overworld is pretty empty as 4x/civ-like games go.

The companions are generic, the story is generic and the heads of other factions are boring too.

There is some attempt at a story, but it basically consists of riding around the map talking to people so you can read walls of text.
