As this mod is listed as depreciated, at this time I am able to use it SP/MP without issues, however new features or updates are not likely in the forseaabale future as per the Authors post below.

Any sort of "eyedropper tool" for this? useing modded terrain that dosnt exist in its default menus.

Sorry to hear that. It's been so long since I played SE... I had no idea there was an update. Unfortunately, I don't have any immediate plans to do an update. My advice is to try these steps just to be sure. If you're a long time mod user then you're probably already familiar with figuring these things out but, just in case:

1 - Try running your save with just Terrain Tool and no other mods. If your game crashes then Terrain Tool defiantly is glitching with your save... jump to step 2. If your game does not crash then jump to step 3.

2 - Try just Terrain Tool by itself on a fresh new game. If you're game does not crash then Terrain Tool works with the latest update... jump to step 3

3 - Try adding back 3 or 4 of your mods at a time. Keep doing this until the game crashes. This will help narrow down which mods are conflicting.

This mods seems to have broken with the latest update/expansion thing, if I try adding it to my save it crashes the whole game while loading

I doubt it but would it be possible to add a setting to smooth surfaces parallel to other nearby voxels? because I've noticed that sometimes it either works great or makes a really nasty mess of holes and jagged bits that need to be mined and then refilled. And also maybe a copy terrain option. Also I've noticed that some voxels such as grass make rather uniform squares while Mars Soil makes rather jagged uneven spheres is that supposed to happen?

I noticed sometimes that while mining my drill will stop working. Also, i just had a bug where i had no collision with blocks, only voxels. Im thinking this mod is the cause but not sure. Anyone else have issues?

Sorry, there currently isn't a way to rembind the keys. Though, at some point in the future, I'd like to add a way to rembind the keys.... even if it's a simple config file. Might be a while before i do this as I'm taking a long break from SE to enjoy other games.

Perfectly understandable, as what myself and DRAKCORE described would be a considerable undertaking more on the level of a KSH feature/mechanic development (rather than a community solo project that is somehow accomplished in free-time).

As with many things, its something that should be done by KSH rather than up to the community to refine the product (* stated but without knowing the constraints, limitations, assets, resources, manpower, and management of Keen Software House as it concerns Space Engineers).

I appreciate your feedback and agree with your concerns. Unfortunately i am currently burnt out on SE and have no plans to to do anything more with Terrain Tool at this time.
Perhaps in the near future, if I get the "itch" to do something digitally constructive, I'll take a stab at some config options.

Like Strelok stated, that is a good point. I love the plugin and I want to implement it into my server, but if there isn't any check and balances, as well as configs where we can set limits, it can be abused thoroughly in battles by just placing mid air, against ships, inside gaps of the ship = dead ship. The abuse could be un-limited and get around a lot of safety plugins or game functions. Personally I would like a server side config, even just some basics like not placing voxels in mid air(needs to be attached to existing voxels), not able to place voxels next to non-owned grids by x meters. If just those two options were added it would a no brainer for me to add it to the server.

Wish there was some sort of validation-check mechanic, so that unless intentionally configured by the player, none of the below could occur without auto-removal:
- voids (specified by parameter)
- sharp & thin geometry (grass, or stone as thin as a pane of glass... which then has a sharp narrow spike jutting out from the side...... defying physics and overall annoying to see).
- unsupported terrain (specified in parameters, but no floating islands, or mountains supported by a millimetre thin bit of grass.... thats 20 meters high.

- essentially, all voxel typos or artifacts that can be made. For example, the tiny little piece of stone left after digging out a tunnel or asteroid, but from switching between L-click and R-click for drills in different spaces.... well thats what makes those slivers possible.... the gaps/non-overlaps. A static brick wall to crash into.... and wreck yourself...

Im wondering, could this voxel edit function be 'attached' to a block, so when the block is spawned it performs the voxel edit. What im thinking is npc stations that spawn can only be designed for above the voxels, because if it had a basement it would be full of voxel.

If we had a block we could place on a build that performs a voxel edit we could then have stations with under voxel rooms. Think of it like a 'Voxel cull' block that has a 5x5x5 area effect so we can place a bunch of these in and around a build so that they will clear out voxels, then have them self delete after so there not in the way or taking up a block space

We could have 'voxel add' blocks that we place to fill in some voxels a build might need. For example if we have a build sunk in some sand we might want some voxels built up around the edges of walls.

No worries! You'll need to make terrain mix with ice then you'll need to place the tool into the snow and ice mode. Press the right mouse button to open a help window that will show you all of the commands :steamthumbsup:
Also, Terrain Tool is not compatible with the original Concrete Tool mod.

There are two terrain mixes... one made of gravel and the other made of ice. Make sure you have the gravel mix for stone and soil. Also, be sure you're in the soil mode.

Press the right mouse button while holding the Terrain Tool will open a help screen that will show you all of the commands.
You can also type /terrain into chat open the same help window.

Oh... maybe having both mods installed is the cause. Yes, you can remove the Concrete mod.
Terrain Tool still has has the concrete texture.

When you equip this tool, it's not directed forward, unlike vanilla tools. This tool directed dawn and in this moment, when your character standing, his arms stretching dawn too (left arm most). i think this happend because this tool are too long and character used animation for vanilla short tools.

And i want ask you - can i remove the original concrete tool mod? I have your and original mods in active status and original concrete tool in my inventore are locked for equipment.

Terrain Tool doesn't pull terrain types from the game files per se... the modded texture names will need to be added to the code. I'd be happy point you in the right direction.

I quite like this mod, but was wondering if it's possible to add terrain types from other mods (e.g. Alkurah Star System) to this one? If it just pulls textures from a game file, I could do it myself.

No, there isn't a way to adjust to a larger size. When I have a chance, I'll take a look at the code and see if I can increase that.

thank you for the response but i meant like past the max size the that the tool is capable of because i think the limit is 6 or 7 and i don't know the smallest size. i just meant going past 7 or 6 and if i had to do it through file editing or is there another way

Yes! Hold the shift button then use your mouse's scroll wheel to adjust the box scale.
Keep in mind, if you restart the game, you'll loose the settings as Terrain Tool does not save them between game sessions.

If you press just right mouse button while holding the Terrain Tool, a help window will open. There you will find all the info on how to use the tool.
