Terrain Tool

Description
The Terrain Tool allows you to place voxels of all kinds such as grasses, sands, soils, stones, ice, and snow... even Digi's concrete! Terrain types from all of the vanilla planets and asteroids are available!

Basic Information
  • The Terrain Tool uses Terrain Mix to place terrain voxels and can be made in an assembler.
  • The Terrain Tool has two modes: Soil/Stone mode and Snow/Ice mode.
  • Each mode has it's own terrain mix. Both can be made in an assembler
  • When the Terrain Tool is selected you will see a green box. This box determines where the terrain voxel will be placed.
  • The amount of Terrain Mix needed for each placed terrain voxel is determined by the volume size of the green box.
  • As you resize the box, the amount of Terrain Mix needed is displayed on screen.
  • For help on all of the Terrain Tool controls, press the right mouse button or type in chat: /terrain help.

Ideas/To Do
  • Figure out how to update ammo quantity in the toolbar when tool mode is switch. It's doable but glitchy. For now, when placing terrain, a message will appear showing how much mix you have left.
  • Crushed ice. Will be used to make Snow/Ice Mix.

Credits
Terrain Tool would not be possible without Digi's awesome Concrete Tool!
I appreciate the time and effort Digi has put into Concrete Tool and other mods. I am in no way claiming the hard work for this as 99.9% of the code in Terrain Tool is all Digi! All I added was about 25ish lines of code and a few changes here and there. Egads! I hope I didn't horribly break anything!
A big THANK YOU goes to Digi for allowing me to post my meager edits as Terrain Tool!

-Take a look at Digi's workshop for other fine mods!-

As this mod is listed as depreciated, at this time I am able to use it SP/MP without issues, however new features or updates are not likely in the forseaabale future as per the Authors post below.

I still couldn't figure out from the mod's description: what's the differences with the original?

Could you make a place and remove toggle? Because holding down CTRL is tiring over longer periods of time

Storm Queen,
Sorry to hear that. It's been so long since I played SE... I had no idea there was an update. Unfortunately, I don't have any immediate plans to do an update. My advice is to try these steps just to be sure. If you're a long time mod user then you're probably already familiar with figuring these things out but, just in case:

1 - Try running your save with just Terrain Tool and no other mods. If your game crashes then Terrain Tool defiantly is glitching with your save... jump to step 2. If your game does not crash then jump to step 3.

2 - Try just Terrain Tool by itself on a fresh new game. If you're game does not crash then Terrain Tool works with the latest update... jump to step 3

3 - Try adding back 3 or 4 of your mods at a time. Keep doing this until the game crashes. This will help narrow down which mods are conflicting.

Good Luck!
