I don't think there's an option to just delete all hyperlanes. It can only be done as part of generating a new layout right now.

I think I figured it out.

There appears to be a name mismatch between the event called in hms_on_actions and the event ID defined in hms_utility_events. The trigger in hms_on_actions is looking for an event named hms_utility.20 but the ID in hms_utility_events is hms.20

Changed the ID in hms_utility_events to hms_utility.20 and ran a quick test. Got the pop-up.

AFAICT, it should be working. But it isn't.

I can't do much if it doesn't make sense why it's not working.

Sorry, still not working for me. I even tried it with this as my only mod to rule out any kind of conflict. No pop-up on entering the system with the HMS gateway. Base game gateways and wormholes trigger the pop-up.

In tonight's attempt I was lucky enough to get a wormhole in my starting cluster, and that unlocked properly allowing me access to a second cluster, but still no gateway activation tech.

Should be fixedish. New games only, unless you can enter a system with our gateway for the first time.

I think unlocking gate tech is broken again for the HMS gateways. I'm not getting the popup when I enter the gate system, and I've let the game run well past the point that the research should have become available. I've got a titan in my fleet but nothing to shoot with it, as I'm locked in my starting cluster.

i wonder if it's possible to add a feature to let one manually edit existing lanes, like lets say, i wanted to isolate my capitol for no reason, would that be possible?

If you want to see the whole map, what you can do is: save, type "observe" in the console, unpause for a day and you can see the whole galaxy
Issue is, the ai took over your empire, so you probably want to reload the save instead of controlling back your empire with "play 0"

Hey, love the idea of this mod, one question.
How do I see the hyperlanes being generated, do I have to use "intel" cheat in the console.
Right now om trying to generate a new hyperlane setup, but even after generate the view is still my old default lanes of my surroundings. If I use "intel" I can see the new lanes are there so the mod is working correctly, but now I have the intel on the entire galaxy.

The first time I played with this mod, I somehow managed to make several mini galaxy clusters, which was exactly what I was looking for. For some reason, every time I've tried afterwards I've ended up making something like picture 6, whereas I'm trying to make something like picture 1 but without the clusters being connected by hyperlanes. Is there some way I can copy or figure out which settings I've used midgame? Thanks.

Btw, it might honestly be a good idea to just give the tech in a finished form. As it's a somewhat lategeme tech, it requires a ton of research and there's no benefit to it other than traveling through your gates in a clustered galaxy.

You're not supposed to get the tech. It allows you to research the tech, in the exact same way finding a vanilla gateway would.

Damn models... I'll have to figure that one out.

So, I recently downloaded this mod (Cause I loved the idea behind it) And I think the Gateway option for the clusters is completely broken.

As others have mentioned, when you encounter the gateway, you do not get the Gateway Activation tech like you're supposed to and, at least in my case, the HMS Gateways don't have a model.

@CaelReader Sounds like you don't want to use the Gateways then. There's not really a feasible way to connect just the nearest clusters using gateways.

@Argus von Stein :think: Well, I think that's an expectation problem, not a problem with how it works. That said, I could make an alternate thing that uses the Wormhole Stabilization tech instead of Gateway Activation. That should be decidedly more midgame.

I could do something about a "hub of hubs" too :D

@Renown It should be compatible. As for the hyperlane density option, that sounds like a new generator. Or maybe an option for the hidden one...

@Akashugo I don't think we have a way to generate hyperlanes in spiral yet. The Potato is trying to figure out if we could make tools to do that with :)

The gates problem isn't all that fixed, I must say. The fact stands that you get completely separated from the rest of the galaxy till the lategame, and the AIs suffer even more. I'd rather have an option for all the clusters to connect to a separate megahub system for the same kind of effect.

It would be cool if you could customize how many connections each cluster hub has, I'd like to have each cluster connected to a few of the nearest clusters rather than every cluster connected to everyone else

funny bug, Search for the Stars breaks badly with this mod. I only got 1 out of 4 stars to research, making the system log forever cursed. probably nothing you can fix, but worth mentioning!

@Kalo Interesting idea. It might cause some "conflicts" with gigas (as they only spawn a system in the core). We'll look into it

@Claireburr I suppose you mean more "linear" hyperlanes? Might be feasible, but it depends if we manage to implement a way to compute angles between systems

@Laneer Fixed. Encountering a HMS gateway has the game act as though you found a vanilla gatewqay, allowing you to research gateway activation.

Should be vanilla as hyperlanes were supposed to have been made by a precursor civilization
