There appears to be a name mismatch between the event called in hms_on_actions and the event ID defined in hms_utility_events. The trigger in hms_on_actions is looking for an event named hms_utility.20 but the ID in hms_utility_events is hms.20
Changed the ID in hms_utility_events to hms_utility.20 and ran a quick test. Got the pop-up.
I can't do much if it doesn't make sense why it's not working.
In tonight's attempt I was lucky enough to get a wormhole in my starting cluster, and that unlocked properly allowing me access to a second cluster, but still no gateway activation tech.
Issue is, the ai took over your empire, so you probably want to reload the save instead of controlling back your empire with "play 0"
How do I see the hyperlanes being generated, do I have to use "intel" cheat in the console.
Right now om trying to generate a new hyperlane setup, but even after generate the view is still my old default lanes of my surroundings. If I use "intel" I can see the new lanes are there so the mod is working correctly, but now I have the intel on the entire galaxy.

Fixed the Gateway Event not popping up.
Fixed the HMS gateways not having a model.
Damn models... I'll have to figure that one out.
As others have mentioned, when you encounter the gateway, you do not get the Gateway Activation tech like you're supposed to and, at least in my case, the HMS Gateways don't have a model.

@Argus von Stein :think: Well, I think that's an expectation problem, not a problem with how it works. That said, I could make an alternate thing that uses the Wormhole Stabilization tech instead of Gateway Activation. That should be decidedly more midgame.
I could do something about a "hub of hubs" too :D
@Renown It should be compatible. As for the hyperlane density option, that sounds like a new generator. Or maybe an option for the hidden one...
@Akashugo I don't think we have a way to generate hyperlanes in spiral yet. The Potato is trying to figure out if we could make tools to do that with :)

@Claireburr I suppose you mean more "linear" hyperlanes? Might be feasible, but it depends if we manage to implement a way to compute angles between systems
